There might be several reasons but the ones coming to my mind are: 1. Women as customers are hard to please, so companies have to keep large number of skus for women category. That's y making a name for yourself in women's category is hard, once you have cracked the code, why not charge more. Because of large number of skus , a lot of inventory goes to waste, so even if any company on any product is making same money from men and women, they have to make up for inventory by charging more. 2. Women generally comparatively don't think much about price, so why not charge more in the name of additional features. 3. Males generally are price sensitive when it comes to spending for personal use, so companies might be keeping prices reasonable to increase sales. 4th and last, why am I even trying to explain this, wo Buddha kuch bhi bakwas kr rha h or ye ladki to anchor h, isme government to tax nahi jyada charge kr rhi h, to isko pink tax naam deke eyeballs grab kr rhe h. Wo log bewkoof h jo jyada paise kharch kr rhe h faltu ki cheejon pr, or hum sab bhi bewkoof h jo time waste kr rhe h ye video dekh kr. Women products are expensive because it is simple economics. Ask your brother/father/anyone who doesn't use much beauty products ki usko konsa underarm roll-on chahiye. 90% of men do not even know what brand are they using. Even I cannot name more than 10 brands who only focuses on male beauty products. And deep down, everything is same other than packaging and some odour. As far as baby products goes, people are paying more for better, safer, and more secure products for babies just because brand is advertising that product as such. Would you like that your baby suffers from rashes or other allergies? Most of it is because of pressure from society and friends.
Once upon a time, only used clothes were used for babies, New clothes were very rare. Also noone spent on diapers. Babies were toilet trained even before they were one year old.. i myself did that. But as times changed no one has the patience to spend time with the baby toilet training them. About nurseries and schools everone thinks elite pvt nurseries and schools educate the best, which is not what it is. So parents then end up spending more on babies. We used coconut oil and besan for bathing the babies. Who will now agree to doing this?
