- Don't seek attention
- Don't fear being judged
- Dress better
- Smell nice, but make it subtle (moisturizer + cologne)
- Pay attention to your breath, you never want to smell like rotten eggs
- Workout, you don't need a gym for that!
- Brush your teeth (obvious...)
- Style your hair, even if that just means putting water
- Facial hair: keep it or leave it out´
- Skincare: different for most; do your research
- Avoid fashion "mistakes"

I'm a freshman in HS rn and I do truly appreciate these vids. I'm a little afraid to buy a cologne just yet but someday I will. My wardrobe is a little restricted cause I don't have to much money but it has definitely gotten better and so has my confidence.

tbh i wouldn't say you really need it especially depending on where you go to school. I went to prep school for HS and even there not many people wore cologne, just make sure you smell good and it will be fine

@@JustysFrank not necessarily "afraid" more like nervous to ask my parents, I don't have a credit card or anything so I have to ask them to buy it for me and then pay them in cash.

The lifting weights and working out part is definitely true. I started lifting weights really young, when I was about 12-13 years old so when I started high school at 14-15, I had a really good physique to say the least, and I was still short at the time since I didn't get my growth spurt so adding muscle mass was really easy. I still maintain a good physique and get complimented on it.

Here is my biggest piece of advice: the reason you’re a socially awkward and insecure person is because you care too much. Trust me, nobody looks at you and thinks poorly of you because of your appearance. You’re thought poorly of because of a lack of confidence. And said lack of confidence comes from caring about what other people think. Its a vicious cycle. So heres what you do: stop caring. Dont base your personality on what you think people like and start expressing your real, genuine personality. You’ll feel a lot better, and everyone else will like you more.
Oh. And avoid axe body spray at all costs. They advertise it as being sexy or whatever, but what it really does is stinks up the whole room and makes everyone want to stay away from you.

But I’m African so I guess that’s why people are a bit different here. when I came here people got different when I grew up with them since 5th grade. They work out, got bigger arms, some “glowed up”, etc. I don’t really care about what people think about me because i know most of what they say is not true. I don’t care about my body (not saying I don’t take care of it but I guess my muscles?). Im a footballer but I know I’ll have to put on some weight soon. Besides in my school my friends are very friendly and sweet. I always tell my sister who even though was born here but raised in Africa that she has to be confident in herself. I don’t care if I’m racially abused because I’m proud being the race I am. I have mistakenly insulted people sometimes racially and I hate myself for that. But I came to school to succeed, not to be a guy who decides what the people think. Be confident and succeed.

I clicked on this without thinking much and thought it will be cringe. But this is all true. After watching it(like right now) and looking back over my summer. I've been changing my style a lot this summer and I know what looks good and what doesn't. It's all about trial and error because some clothes might look good on others but not yourself so try stuff on because clothing changes everything. Your hair as well so do that as well. When you look good, your confidence will also raise as well. So make sure to stay fashionable.
