really like this and would love more. great to see it broken up on a track per track basis. i often struggle once i get to about 70% of the "components" done to fill in the gaps, i always feel like there is space to be filled or i over compensate and there is too much going on. thus video really simplifies things.
I like this format and certainly see the value in it. It’s a great way to demystify the music. Each element sounds cool but together they are something else all together.
Thank you for this short & sweet breakdown ! Nice guide, however, I wanna highlight and encourage those who watches and follows this the importance of getting creative with your sound, thinking outside the box and expressing YOU ! Not just cookie-cutter. Sometimes tasty hats are not necessary. Maybe you sprinkle spicy shakers. Some seemingly unconventional ingredients together can happily surprise. Like watermelon and feta 😋 YOU are the chef of your dish ! Believe in your discerning taste. We can't all cook like Yan Cook 😉
Realistically real techno shouldn’t have ANY rules. The rules were always broken by the pioneers. This is just techno by numbers, we need originality not cliché otherwise everyone will sound the same
@@YanCook personally i would like to see the EQ stuff, how did you make everything sound cohesive and not bloated, especially with mids/high mids, overall nice content
Mostly by ear, but I also monitor where each sound sits on the spectrum to make sure they are not canceling each other or if there's something weird going on.
love your content but here is some honest feedback because I am not sure whats the point of this type of video. which viewer group are you targeting? this is pointless for people who want to deep dive into your production workflow. and the people who dont care about production and just love your music, i dont think this is interesting for them neither. if you wanted to sell a sample pack with loops then I guess this would work. just my honest opinion \ feedback, i hope this doesnt come across as rude or disrespectful
Trying to recreate these is a very good exercise. Listening to the individual elements reveals how much is going on. Much more than using just a sample. But maybe you don't hear that, I hope this doesn't come across as rude or disrespectful.
@@southWarped fair point, but i think if this is meant to be reconstructed as an exercise then the next thing people will do is look for videos "how to create this sound" etc., which could also have been a part of this vid
As a viewer who is into audio production I find this video actually pretty handy and insightful. You're not only getting a quick idea of what sounds go into a techno track but also a quick idea how they are looped/sequenced. Which is all the info I need tbh, I can't be bothered with lengthy tutorials.
I like this format, it gives me a very quick idea on what sounds go into a track like this and how they are sequenced/looped. Very short and handy.

This is nothing short of excellent! Thank you so much.
You're the best Techno educator on TH-cam 🎉 keep up the good work 👍

Thanks for passing the spark
I also love the format! would love to see it for your track Sand. pretty much my favourite track to play at the moment.
great video, I would be interested to see how you mix all those elements together, especially two subs and two basses
Awesome, thank you for sharing! It nicely demonstrates that a good track doesn't need a whole lot..
Fantastic format, no frills no fuss just exactly what we want to hear and great visual as a bonus. Thanks very much for great content yan :)
Great format, nice and simple - I like the hexagon progress bar too. Thank you!
Great stuff, so simple yet so powerful, I think I will implement these ingredients into all of my tracks.
Man you just giving us everything. Thank you so much for sharing.
Cool breakdown, appreciate the brevity
Thank you Yan for all those Vids!!
U Hero!
Thank you so much fir sharing this!!
Ok, so I've got the stems. Now time to arrange them ;) :D
Lovely!
Great sound design as always. Nice and simple.
Any chance we could see the arrangement of this? Honestly, I'm probably just going to lay it out myself if/when this gets released lol

Yan, can we see the mixing process please ?
You mean to show the db level of each instrument?
@@YanCook personally i would like to see the EQ stuff, how did you make everything sound cohesive and not bloated, especially with mids/high mids, overall nice content
@@ryb4yl Same here. Interested in looking into those eqs as a guide
thanks for the inspo, brother.
The nice breakdown of the nice track.
Was the first beat of sub 1 under the kick?
This was awesome, thanks for sharing the element breakdown. Would love to see an oscilloscope view....(I just like them 🙂).
Thanks, good idea 💡
Super Tutor!
Thanks🖤 Very helpful 💫
thank u
Great video! Is there a moment in the track where everything u showed plays together?
Yes, you can hear this in the beginning of this video)
Merci Yann, donc "l'air" n'est qu'un effet de mode ?
Very helpful, thanks 🙏 Are the synths Syntakt?
I did use Syntakt making this track :)
Yan - how do you balance those 2 sub frequency lines ?
Mostly by ear, but I also monitor where each sound sits on the spectrum to make sure they are not canceling each other or if there's something weird going on.
@@YanCook Big Love
Are the samples in this video the same as in the sample pack that Yan cook sells?
Nope, totally different sounds there)
Teach me your ways sensei!
is it first sub in stereo?
A little bit, as I remember)
Uk Representing. Big ups!! Solid producer.
No way should I be able to hear sub on a phone speaker .
But I get you.

maybe for people who think music is very complicated. from a producer's perspective it's not much as we thought before

Thanks for the opinion!
Mostly I'm targeting young producers who are looking for some inspiration :)
