he just poking random stuff on the board, he just making up that he knows it.
In reality he would have to start with visual inspection:
Does the fuses blown, or if they blown, why did they blown.
Go for short circuit, check the short in caps if its present
Check the output transistors, check the drivers, check all the voltage stage transistors, if they all ok, look for transistor leakage. Look for obvious stuff.
Do it have any bulged caps, its mostly easily detectable to the bare eye in visual inspection.
If the power supply board defective, use dim bulb tester to avoid explosion, trace down the voltage, that is the voltage just suddenly there or not there where it supposed to be.
etc.
And ofc he not have any magic capability whatsoever.
Look closer. He is measuring the rectifier diodes in the power section, the very thing to check it the machine is completely dead. You are a fool.
AIWA was the crème de la crème of brands in 1970-1980. Even their latest stuff from 2000 to 2010 was superb. We had a big hi-fi in the classroom. Twin cassette tape recorder with four-channel heads, a jukebox for four disks, big bass speakers, fantastic BBE filter, and T-Bass sound effects. It’s a shame that the company no longer exists, and everything they are manufacturing under its dead name is junk.

В те года лидировали две компании это Техникс и Айва.Сейчас все делают в виде мусора ,всю домашку.В России хорошие динамики делают и усилители но эстрадные .Я купил пару лет назад LG "портативная акустическая система" накрылась через грубо 2 года ,китайское барахло

@@filip8297 ,вот по этому я и взял LG.Думал будет работать точно более 10 лет ,а оказалось.Вот "техникс" реально работал ,и звук конечно выше чем LG.Что касается "AIWA" то у соседа музыкальный центр из 90-ых ,работает по сей день

Personalmente yo restaure,limpie y repare equipos así y como fanático,coleccionista de los equipos de audio vintage,un sistema de audio cosaria mucho mas en limpiar,hacer reparar y por ende restaurar en forma total y/o parcial.
Y yo diría que,SU RESTAURACIÓN FUE MUY,PERO MUY FÁCIL",SALUDOS.

I got an aiwa from Im guessing the 90s, 2 tape and a 5disk. probably getting replaced soon due to bad headphone jack, however, I am wondering if that is fixable? it cuts out.

Aiwa was a great brand! I believe was a sub runoff of Sony? Tho aiwa was much better far as iam concerned. Currently rocking a old aiwa receiver that I doubled up the caps on power supply n she beats hard! N runs at 4ohms which is a plus 👍 only complaint about all most aiwa is the volume control spinner. They almost never work!

As others have commented, this looks to be a fake restoration. The dirt was clearly smeared on the case deliberately with a brush.
All of these types of restauration channels, are fake.... if you see the screws etc, they arent rusted.. So defo arent found from outside...
Just made to look dirty, then pretend to measure and inspect the components inside, while replacing nothing.. and magically it works...

Was it tooken already apart to make up it being dirty? I guess yeah. Its already a bad sign
yup my guess is right. 1:57 you have made it up, in that closed environment, you cant get that much dirt, unless the entire amplifier was soaked in dirty water.
Also it have to develop in time, but you just used your bare finger, and it came down clean. Something told me that it dirt was applied on the surface of those boards.

Also 18:07 just the knob linearity wrong, or he just injected output sound to those two speakers, due the the sound didnt really responded with the volume knob turning, its odd.
