Thank you for taking us with you on these adventures! It's so reassuring to see. It's been on my mind to leave my town and visit new places (i've been stuck in this small bubble of mine for so long, especially since I work from home & don't get out much). I get so overwhelmed thinking about traveling to unfamiliar places alone. Thanks for just doing your thing & showing us how easy it can be!
Lived in VA since I was seven, it’s awesome because it has a little bit of everything. Mountains, beaches, plains, rolling hills etc. Wonderful place to live, so hype to see you got to visit. ❤❤❤❤
I can see you as a Charlotte girly. I used to live close to there and I have family who live there now, they love it. Great small town feel but still has the bigger city resources. The hiking there is top notch.
New Dominion is a bookshop on the downtown mall that is new books! Blue whale and 2nd Act are both used! The Beautiful Idea is also a shop that has a book section in the back dedicated to LGBTQIA+ and activism works!
you should try seattle or west seattle area, there’s the city, the beach, lakes, hikes, mountains and waterfalls. cute shops and bookstores everywhere and you can take ferry’s to diff islands to explore! and it’s green!
I just moved to charlottesville two months ago so I LOVED this !!! need to check out those walking spots you went to! its such a sweet city - I have enjoyed it so much !!! the Carter mountain apple cider and donuts are INCREDIBLE !!!! can't wait to see where you go next!
WHILE YOUR SEARCHING CHECK FOR LIKE HOW BAD THE WEATHER CAN GET IN THE AREA AND STUFF, like tornadoes, hurricanes ETC. Just want to make sure your safe < 3
Charlottesville is nice bc it's close to Richmond and Washington DC. The area is scenic and there is a nice apple orchard, the wineries and blue ridge mountains. Trader Joe's, Wegmans, and college football.
hi! just adding to say I’ve been in NoVa for 25 years and love it here! It’s really safe and there’s so much to do. Charlottesville is a super cute town. So exciting to see more people appreciating our state💓
Omg! I live in Richmond which is an hour away and an amazing city. I regularly go to Charlottesville just for book shopping … it’s the best Barnes and noble EVER
This was so fun! Thx! Hope you take us with you to check out your other locations. I think how u approached it made so much sense,as in doing the things you would do living there as opposed to being a tourist 👍
I’ve been wanting to go to a little cabin alone for sooo long and just read and enjoy nature but my anxiety won’t let me - this video just helped solidified it for me THANK YOU❤
Awww it looks gorgeous there! I love seeing other parts of the country through your video. I’ll probably never go there but man I can see why you would want to stay.
This was so much fun to watch 🥹 I’ve grown up in VA and it was so fun watching you explore!! No matter where you choose to move, I hope you love it and it checks all your boxes 💛
Love living in Virginia! I do agree that Charlottesville is a big College town and it’s got the UVA hospital that people from hours and hours away have to make trips to because it’s the only hospital that provides certain treatments. So I can see it getting very busy. But I’m so glad you enjoyed your time!
I'm so glad you're exploring Charlottesville! I love it down there (my husband and I went there for our honeymoon). There are TONS of amazing wineries down there if that's your thing.
Hey Heather!! So fun to see you exploring new places 😊 if Burlington VT and Boulder CO aren’t on your list I highly recommend!! If you come to Colorado I have some recs for you too!
Highly recommend looking at some places in Upstate NY! The Adirondacks have super sweet towns, same with Lake George and the Catskills region! Definitely quaint, but beautiful scenically.
I'm so glad you had a good trip!! for more Appalachian vibes, you should check out bittersweet in the hollow by Kate pearsall! it's YA horror/mystery with some light magic and reminded me so much of my college town in Appalachia
I visited Virginia during the spring a few years ago and it was nice! Also girl you’re SO brave walking alone through a random forest clearing at a different state 😅 I could never lmao
I’m from Cville! My dad still lives there but I don’t get to go often. I miss that Barnes and Noble so very much 😢That and the ICONIC Bodos Bagels 🥯 sometimes I want to drive the 6 hours for that alone, not gonna lie
Hi hi!! ❤️ I'm a Marylander, and I also recommend Virginia's 'blue' 😉 neighbor state! But Charlottesville looks amazing. I think it's almost 3 hours from me. You'd also be relatively close to DC. Yay!!!! Maybe we can do a meet up one day if you decide to move here. I can't wait to see where you choose! ❤️
PLEASEEE VISIT MICHIGAN!! not the big big cities but like charlevoix, petosky, frankenmuth, holland, leland etc PLEASEE ITS SO BEAUTIFUL AND IT FITS ALL YOUR CRITERIA🙏🙏
was following ur tt for the longest time before i found your yt. i'm so happy you have a channel, i love your channel and vids so much they are soo cosy and entertaining!! x
Heather, the way I finished Lights Out 4 days ago and started it again last night! I cannot stop thinking about it. Glad Charlottesville treated you so well 😊
Loved the vlog Heather🥰 I actually read Lights Out and it was a 4.5⭐ My friends and I did a buddy read and we had so much of fun. I wanna do a reread with audiobook now!
I use to work at Barnes (best part time job ive ever had) and we had a person who ordered all the books for the store. She was amazing, we could always go up to her and tell her about books we would like to see and she'd try to order them for the store. In addition she also read a lot too so she was very knowledgeable about what books customers would want to see. I don't know this for sure but I def think it depends on the barnes on what books they can order for the store.
VIRGINIA MENTIONEDDD As a Virginia resident for 19 years (lol), this state is what you make it. It’s the north, the south, and east (maybeee even a bit west if you look hard enough). Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Richmond, and most of Northern Virginia have really nice areas.
I live in NOVA and i think you would really like leesburg VA! Lots to do but still small town feel… green… and amazing downtown w coffee shops/breweries. ☺️
I do worry about you saying you get overstimulated. Virginia to me is CRAZY busy but your tolerance may be higher than mine! Everyone else around me loves it but i felt like i could never catch a break of peace to enjoy the nice parts. Always people all the time always in my way 😂. nowhere is perfect but if you need any reason to not move there ill be that person for you! The summer humidity is also bruutal but thats kind of what you get if you want greenery around you
I’ve heard Virginia is really nice! I love any type of video you put it it but loved this one! Now I want an apple cider donut from a local apple orchard 🥵
@ I will say I tend to go during the week because some of them are so busy lol. One of my favorites down near Charlottesville is called King. I made the mistake of going on a Sunday and it was packed and they had polo games going on too 🤣🤣🤣
try upstate ny! Ithaca has some beautiful waterfalls and trails, there are big mountains in the north of the state, it’s super centrally located to big cities (boston, nyc, dc, etc), and it gets cold up here but not too cold
“I’m just a girl traveling alone and honestly, anxiety fears me this week”
You are the coolest person ever and I strive to be like you!! 🥰
Praying Vermont / Maine is next, in the Christmas time it would be so cute you’d throw UP
BOOMSHAKALAKA YES GODD yt has been so dry lately 🙏
BOOMSHAKALAKA FR🤣
I’ve lived in Virginia my entire 33 years of life and it’s so cozy here. It’s humid af but I love it here

There’s several bookstores in Charlottesville. There are new and used bookstores. New Dominion Bookshop is very fun to go into!
I tried to go to new dominion but it was closed every time I tried to go in 😭
oh you give VA vibes so much. its so perfect in the fall.

WELCOME TO VIRGINIAAA!!
IN ALL OF MY 14 YEARS OF LIFE- I have lived here ❤️❤️❤️
you should try seattle or west seattle area, there’s the city, the beach, lakes, hikes, mountains and waterfalls. cute shops and bookstores everywhere and you can take ferry’s to diff islands to explore! and it’s green!
It's the long beeeeeeeeep and the 😅 "I can't put that on the internet." for me 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I would really recommend western Washington. It's known as the evergreen state, and we are known for coffee and apples!

I live about an hour north from charlottesville and go there frequently for work. It is beautiful. I support this choice.
Charlottesville is nice bc it's close to Richmond and Washington DC. The area is scenic and there is a nice apple orchard, the wineries and blue ridge mountains. Trader Joe's, Wegmans, and college football.

NW Georgia is also lovely!! Been here for a year and im obsessed. It’s totally different than Florida, and the SEASONS are immaculate❤

The audiobook for lights out was actually immaculate and truly unhinged 🫶🏼 but we loved!!

In Virginia the Shenandoah Valley is stunning.
Girl come to Richmond!! We’re an hour away and there’s a lot to do here, big book community! ❤

@ Totally get it 🥹 I think you’ll love VA, it’s a beautiful state 🩷 Lived here almost my whole life!!
