Slot is not like EtH. Not every Dutch coach is the same. Slot is very special, very unique and very demanding and kind to the players. Slot likes attacking football, but without conceding goals. He is very smart in preparing and developing his players, his squad for every match that every attack includes safety measures against sudden counterattacks and vice versa. He can identify the best position of each player and blend this with the specific tasks of each position of his formation knowing the opponent. Hereby, he will implement a very specific style of play as the foundation. Hence, he will be able to dethrone City as the league's true king.

Klopp was a freak and it was all him, he could get a 10/10 from a 6/10 player..
If there is a drop off there will be anger from the fans. Yes FSG handle business well but business doesn’t matter to the fans if city, united, arsenal, etc are gonna spend money and get success and we don’t.
I don’t want Liverpool to be the “they handle business well” club. That doesn’t mean anything to the fans.
It’s unfortunate and I don’t agree with it but unless we are a bit braver in the market (not silly) we are going to be left behind, it’s just the way it is now.

Slot is exactly the same in that way, he's obsessed with football, knows what the opponent does and like mentioned in the video, great personality, great people manager and an amazing tactician, turns around games so many times in his career by making tactical changes.
Also, at Cambuur (2nd division team) he did great, beat the big Ajax in the cup and got to the semi finals, at AZ, he was on his way to becoming champions until corona cancelled that season (equal points with Ajax with a much weaker team, even beating them twice that season). At Feyenoord he had only 5 m to spend after selling our best player to ajax for 5.5 m. Got 8 or 9 new players, reaches the conference League final. Again lost 15 players of which 7 starters, next season he wins the championship. Third year in a row loses our best player, wins the cup and did great in CL dominating Atleti in Madrid but lost due to individual quality of Griezmann (most attempts recorded Vs atleti since 2014, more than prime Barça!), beating Celtic and Lazio at home with a shoestring budget. Currently on our way to equal our highest points tally ever (1 more than last season) but only 2nd place in the league because psv is having a Man City 2017/2018, 2018/2019 season (only 3 draws and 1 loss this season)

To be honest, I don’t mind the fact that we took our time. Because, imagine if they lock somebody in in December, a month after the manager had told the management that he was leaving. And then over the proceeding six months, other great managers around Europe became available and you had already locked yourself in. Why close off your potential opportunities. Take your time, Look into it and make a well informed decision, not a quick decision out of anxiety. The most important thing is to not compare him to klopp. There is only one other manager on earth who is comparable to klopp right now, and he’s not available and nor would we want him. So it’s important we don’t build a rod for our own back in order to whip the team and the new manager to say, well you’re not klopp. There is only one klopp, and it’s sad, but it’s a reality we need to get used to.

Reflecting on Klopp's era evokes a bittersweet feeling, not solely because of its success, but because of the colossal unfulfilled potential. The cracks in the system and the gradual decline were glaringly obvious, impossible to ignore. While skepticism about FSG as owners lingered from the start, time only validated those doubts. However, my perspective shifted towards Klopp's management from the 2020-21 season onwards. It began to resemble the Benitez era, marked by an overbearing sense of authority. Klopp's growing arrogance and unwillingness to heed advice led to the abrupt end of his 20-year friendship with Zelko Buvac (the brain) and the exodus of key personnel from Michael Edwards' team. This erosion of talent severely impacted the team's performance and tarnished Klopp's legacy. Despite unwavering support from FSG, it was clear they were too afraid to say no to him, knowing full well how much the LFC fans love him. If Klopp even hinted that FSG weren't listening to him, fans would have driven FSG across the pond for good. Klopp seemed reluctant to request essential reinforcements for key positions. The over-reliance on a handful of players such as VVD, AR, MS, TAA, Fabinho, and Henderson was glaring, especially given Klopp's demanding style of play. The lack of depth on the bench was not just evident; it was alarming. It's confounding why Klopp failed to address this issue. It seemed as though he had forgotten his role as the manager of Liverpool FC, instead focusing on his sway over FSG. This shift in power dynamics led to a situation where accountability became elusive, akin to the behavior of dictators.

Absolute b*llocks. Klopp hugely overachieved. Had to sell his best players in order to make big signings, was dumped with the likes of Caulker, Ben Davies and Kabak when he even said in a press conference he didn't know where Davies was coming from at one point so he clearly had no say in transfers towards the end of Edwards last tenure. And if you think John Stones making a miracle clearance from Mane and Tierney not awarding a handball against Rodri or sending Kane off against us which was the difference in us missing out on 2 titles is Klopp's doing give your head a wobble. Also only took 4 attempts to win a CL here, Pep took 7 at MC. The disrespect towards Klopp thankfully doesn't extend to us local matchgoers who will give him the great send off he deserves.

For instance, they made significant changes, including deconstruction of Michael Edwards' recruitment team. This decision indicates a willingness to accommodate Klopp's preferences, underscoring his influence within the club.
FSG's understanding of our fan base is evident in their strategic approach, maintaining a narrative that emphasises that "we got no money", resulting in comparatively lower financial investments than clubs like West Ham and Aston Villa. Despite Liverpool's illustrious history, which includes six UEFA Champions League trophies, second only to Real Madrid and AC Milan, some fans are quick to criticize Klopp for what they perceive as insufficient financial backing from FSG. This raises the question: why haven't these fans held FSG accountable?
It appears that some fans allow emotions to cloud their judgment, failing to engage in critical analysis. This may explain FSG's emphasis on competing rather than solely focusing on winning.

Just wait for next season and we’ll see how good he is.

They are the masters at gaslighting! If we were to appoint 10 hag next season they would still find ways to make him sound like the perfect appointment. They have made recent transfers like Nunez, dom, etc sound like potential ballon d’or winners

If you think 'common sense and logic' tell you Slot will massively struggle then you probably have no common sense and no grasp of logic whatsoever.

@@neillynch_ecocidologist im not saying he definitely will struggle. I’m implying it’s multi factorial issues and new manager, current squad issues: using basic logic means it’s probably going to be “difficult” to hit ground running and get all of it clicking. No need to get personal.

Klopp is an absolute legend. Even if Jesus Christ was coming in to replace him i'd still be disappointed. Will get behind Slot and keep positive though. We are desperate for better defence though. Konate injury issues were voiced before he arrived and medical staff said he was just unlucky at the time and would be fine. He isn't and isn't good enough. If he was the Virgil wouldn't need to play every single minute possible. We need 2 top level CB's signed and a genuine goal threat clinincal finisher and i think we win the league.

This Dutch Homer Simpson needs to hit the ground running to stand any chance of being popular here. It's not like the challenge Klopp had with a team who hadn't won a title for 25 years and needed rebuilding completely. Also needs mentioning that Klopp revolutionised things behind the scenes, brought in the very best analysis teams, dieticians, sleep specialists, he's a sports scientist and broke new ground here. Speak to our head of liason and he'll tell you everyone was in awe of Klopp's meticulous way of working. It was FSG not paying the medics enough that drove them away, most to Qatar, and it left Klopp scrambling to find replacements. The disrespect Klopp had had lately, purely based on 3 weeks of the season, disgusts me, he is more than just a manager, he had become part of our city. These tourist fans are happy to drive up from Kent and Essex to see victory parades, not so supportive when we have a bad 3 weeks are they?

🤣🤣🤣🤣 some Liverpool supporter, no respect for a new coach. Attacks other Liverpool supporters every time you comment. If you are a regular attendee at Anfield, FSG should put up the ticket prices 400% to price the likes of you out and let many more Liverpool supporters attend from all around the world. The extra income could be used on more players.
