Oh I love it , i have been a jeep jocky for decades .It is so good to see younger people getting out in jeeps and not listening to the dargin B/S from media and others about how horrible jeeps are .I wish you guys all the success you deserve 👏👏👍🇭🇲 14:42
Wow! it has changed somewhat since the 1970's especially gunshot when the telegraph line was the only way up there. Two primary school female teachers drove a mini moke up there in 1974 with no assistance ... they had two tractor tubes to float it across the jardine and any other deep water they came across. Only a two wheeled track then kept open by men like the two kens, kenny savo and kenny cox who worked out of bamaga. They maintained the line from bamaga to 50 miles south of the jardine north of the three ways above heathlands stn . Kenny Savo was lost to a croc at the PMG crossing as it was known then abt '81 where the telegraph line crossed the jardine. We would use their dinghy with permission to get our motor bike across. It was in between the old motor crossing upstream where we would have to cross before the ferry came in the early 80's. It seems a lot of dummy kadia place names have crept into the lexicon of the trip with the likes of cox's camp at 50 mile and savo falls where the men would bathe lost to history. Two finer men I've still yet to come across in all the years since.
Hey hope you still read the comments. Great trip and Vids. I have a 2015 JK Rubicon, 2.5inch lift and 34's, I have seen other vids of JKs towing other JKs through the tele track, with the petrol though would you say I could tow a 1tonne offroad camper through Nolans ? The gunshot is a bit too much for me.
Hey mate so if you go later in the season I reckon you'd be fine as the water level is low. However you'd want to get your rope ready. Also as you see there is only a deep drop off just as you enter. You should let the sand settle for 25 mins if there is a vehicle ahead of you. Also there is an entrance to the right which is longer but perhaps more shallow. Do yourself a favour and park the trailer at the top and drop down gunshot. It's easy and no risk in jeeps due to the stubby nose. You can go back up and get the trailer on a chicken track. Also I'd remove your carpet before the telegraph track as it is highly likely water will get in at Nolans and scrubby and Logan Creek.
@@blackmantiskungfu im not so proud to risk my car for ego. I was thinking of having a pulley winch setup to self winch at 2:1 out but i think the winch cable would not be long enough two double up specifically for Nolans. Also have factory lockers front and rear, i have seen 200 series pull campers with only rear lockers and traction control on front wheels
Hey mate. We are in Brisbane so got most stuff from Aussie Jeep part importers. SBR, DBOR and Jeep Konnection. I did import some stuff like my back rack but that was when the USD was favourable which it isn't right now.
@@TJ_Beam yeah I'd buy them again. Very quiet for a mud tyre and has taken me across Simpson desert and also up the cape. Also good mix between light weight and rugged. Heavy tyres would be more aggressive but I like the Coopers
@@TJ_Beam yeah I'm petrol and took 20L but never needed it. Only thing to remember is some of the fuel stations in the aboriginal towns like Lockhart River shut early like 1pm so you just need to time it well.
I know. Most people don't know shit. Wranglers are the most capable stock 4x4 on the market and as soon as you modify them they are unstoppable due to superior articulation.

Hey guys, where do you get the accessories for your JK from?.
And great video BTW!

Another great vid 👍🏻
What lift and tyres are you jeepers running? That gunshot was epic...
2.5 lift 285/70/17 Coopers STT Pro Max. It's a good set up and legal for JKs
blackmantiskungfu oh cool. Yeah I’m getting the AEV 2.5 lift and running 33’s as well. So keen to do the Cape! The Coopers are good tyres?

blackmantiskungfu hey mate. How did you go on fuel up there? Are you petrol?

Great video! What time of the year did you do the trip?
September - early
Super
That was cool
Thanks mate. Had a ball!
People keep giving Jeep crap. But then they pull shit off like this. I'm so lost and confused 🤔

Wranglers and older landrover 110 and defenders seem to have a knack offroad that nissan and toyota miss
