Will consider one when my Solar NEM3.0 application is approved later... The biggest selling point is actually its Aegis Short blade LFP battery.. Safer, faster charging time and higher durability due to the nature of LFP battery.. not to mention this is by far the highest energy density of 192Wh/kg among LFP batteries in the market, getting close to NMC.

I hope my condo management will start installing charging spaces. I like EV cars but will only buy if charging stations are available without me having to queue up.
happy that more and more coming in so price will get competitive. charging difficulties is still there but i refill petrol once in 2 weeks therefore my headache will be around the same, not a daily panic. im sure more chargers are coming in. anyways hope proton can start announcing for the next one. at the very least tell us if it's a sedan / suv / mpv so consumer know whether to get this or wait a bit more.
The size looks big enough, visually comparing to the x70s and Navara in the video, and coming 2025 it should be competitively priced. Now this and the upcoming BYD M6 would be a good option for families if the price is right. for this drive, i am guessing you only charge once per day? or was there any pit stops to charge along the way? For me, I typically go for a 430km highway drive to balik kampung, and they with the typical range claim of 430km WLTP a pitstop to charge will be a requirement. However, knowing how packed R&Rs are during holidays, this is a major concern.
Nice to see them running these out for the public to see. They should certainly do something about the windows and tires to lessen road noise, the Chinese cars are doing a pretty good job on that front already, they should aim to improve there. Watching it from outside, it seems it had a bit more bounce on the rear end compared to other vehicles around it, may still need to sort that a bit more.
NVH remains a priority for PRO-NET, which we also highlighted to them. On ride & handling, these cars are running a third set of development springs & dampers, with more coming in due course as the PROTON R&D teams in Kuala Lumpur & Hangzhou Bay coordinate to retune these cars to fit local demands. As we mentioned, the cars we drove were running 18" alloys with Atlas tyres, which do not represent the final product.
@@MalaysianMotoring Thanks for the info. After seeing the Geely E5, this one looks promising, I’m hoping they keep it a 5 seater and not try to shoehorn a couple more seats in the back. The eMAS 7 name has me thinking this might be the case, hope I’m wrong.
The eMAS cars will be represented only at eMAS dealerships, which are separate locations with a unique corporate identity. Dealers have been appointed and dealerships are under construction as we speak, and will be announced in due course.
that's cool that malaysia has made their own electric car (even if it's.. well a rebadge of a Chinese car, still cool!) showing that our country is moving on! Stay strong!
How long does the electric vehicle battery typically last, and what is the cost of replacing it? Is it a relatively inexpensive repair, akin to replacing an Aladdin lighter?
In my opinion ctb is like curse and blessings at the same time. On one hand it optimises a lot of things. On the other hand it kind of makes repair and big battery to be a challenge
CTB is mainly to optimise packaging, maximising cabin space and minimising imposition from the battery pack. Compared to models that have been 'adapted' for electric powertrains, vehicles like the eMAS 7 that feature EV-specific platforms (and therefore CTB) offer greater practicality. As for repairs & battery maintenance, we believe that Geely had this in mind when developing the Aegis short-blade LFP battery packs. PRO-NET staff have also confirmed modular battery repairs if and when needed.
Is it around 350km on highway in single charge? CLTC is not realistic. We need practical range. In China right now, whenever there is festive season, people are fighting to charge their EV car despite their system there more established n mature. Malaysia still not as full fledged in electric charging!
No Hangul on the car? There goes my chance of ever getting one since I'm watching this with my wife who comes from Korea and wants me to buy a 2025 EV6 instead which is gonna cost me an additional kidney.
More like affecting BYD, the other Chinese brand SUV as well as Proton's own X70.. Likely for those who are a bit more adventurous to try out Chinese products.. T & H still have their own market which are those conservative buyers..
People buying their primary cars at that price point wont suddenly buy an EV. It makes little sense when they have good options from T, H and even Proton themselves (e.g. X50, S70, X70). At most will only affect sales of BYD and other sub-100k chinese brands.
Any selling point worth noting? Price? Battery capacity? Or just about the same as other Chinese SUEV? Proton have been hyping this model like its a blessing. Been months since its introduction now. Surely disappointing if its just another EV.
Mmy suggest 4 proton to put fake exhaust sound into the car with variable exhaust sound especially from ferrari, lambo n pagani n if proton kind enough plis make it can be heard also at the outside of the car...
I dont understand. Why need to cover it why its just same as Galaxy E5? No proton/malaysia dna as they claim 200 Malaysia engineer build from scratch. Just gimmick or else.. Hmm just launched this early
I just cant fathom when car manufacturers made a 'small family car' but with white interior.....as one with a small family, having a white interior is so impractical. Kids are dirty, they will almost always rub their hands on the seats, spill drinks and food etc. Why the designers ever thought of this matter? Really hope this car will not use the same theme.
I do hope is same price. It may border the high spec x70 price. I have seen the interior. It cannot be price anything 100k or lower. Impossible. You will understand why after you have see the interior and try it yourself.
If proton can't sell this at RM60K, there is no way it will sell in mass because the general Malaysian population just cannot afford it. And this car can only serve as a second car not a primary car.
