Bro, I really appreciate this masterclass. As you know from my previous comments your other videos have helped me out a lot. I used to get crushed on the 4 pawns attack, for example, and since I learned your recommended lines I have been winning lots of beautiful games online. I told someone recently that the four pawns attack now fears me - lol. In all seriousness, this g3 line seems more difficult to learn. I've been struggling with this line for a while now and just now got time to make sure I learn the best replies. I really like the 6...Nc6 idea and the transposition from ...c5. I also appreciate that you took the time to cover the trickier e4 line in which we pull back the f6-knight to d7 and prepare the eventual ...b5 expansion. I don't know how you don't have more views. Cheers!
Truly excellent video. What do you suggest if, instead of 8. e4, White plays 8. Bf4 with the plan of Rc1 and c5 with play down the c-file (& to weaken d6). Chasing the Bf4 with Nh5 doesn’t help as it just drops back to Be3 & if Black plays Nh5-f6, White responds h3 etc. I’ve had a hard time finding anything clear & convincing against White’s 8. Bf4 even with the help of Stockfish as White still has a lot of flexibility & if Black somehow gets in b5, White after Rc1 etc can just bypass the pawn break with c5 trying to undermine d6 & crack open Black’s central pawn structure. Any insight you can give on how best to combat White’s slippery set up will be most appreciated! Cheers!
