Very much looking forward to the software tour and the difference between the OS versions... I have book marked the handset on your store... I'm currently waiting to see if the Z fold 6 wins me over as I've become disenchanted with my Pixel Fold (I have owned every Z Fold prior to the Pixel release). Both the Z fold 6 and the Pixel Fold 2 look lacklustre, but I'm on the fence about buying a phone from a company with virtually no presence in the UK and usually the software experiences seem rather lacking, hope you can set my mind at ease.

I’m in Australia and got the Chinese Rom and it’s an AMAZING phone. The best foldable I’ve ever had. I’ve had the Z Fold 4&5 and Google Pixel Fold and they don’t even Rate compared to the X Fold 3 Pro. The cameras are fantastic, the thinness, the weight and the overall feel is Great. I don’t use android auto, I just use Bluetooth so that’s not an issue and I’ve got the Kospet Tank M3 Ultra and Xiaomi watch S3 which work perfectly with it. Also all the banking apps and Google Pay work seamlessly and I also love Origin OS. Don’t waste your hard earned money on the Global edition, get the Chinese Rom 😊

You must. I just bought it yesterday. My first fold. Awesome experience. I handled the phone on display for 7 straight days for atleast 2hrs a day in a local showroom. And then decided over Samsung fold 6 and OnePlus open. 🎉

As for AI features I have an s24 ultra and dont really use them except for once or twice and the novelty wore off. The notifications show up on my lock screen and come through to my watch fine

There's been a ban by the U.S. government on Chinese phones. That started a couple of years ago. Any U.S. company is forbidden to support Chinese phones
If not for Android Auto, I would be ordering the chinese ROM version now... But I just need it for both my car and bike. Buying a GPS for those things that work as well as AA would require me to spend more than the difference so... Yeah xD

There is quite more difference between Chinese and global. Speciously wallet didn't take main street bank card, voice commands, android auto ( like you said its possibly come in) Google news on slide site in launcher and few more. But again your question it's all this worth it £600? Many want just easy setup and have smooth run without hassle from Chinese rom. I didn't have Funtouch before but origin os was actually really good. So my question is also did vivo x fold 3pro global is really global like you buy in Europe. India and Indonesia has different markets and not sure if all bands and service is same like Europe

Fortunately I've had the pro under Origin OS at the same time when u adviced us to buy the normal version instead of the pro's cause there were an issue of over heating... Upgraded from zf2 for the sake using bigger slab phone, actually I think vivo x fold 1 edition the biggest (tall and width) foldable phone ever, even more big than the 2nd and 3rd generation, I checked gsmarena always for the biggest foldable phone comparing other brands.

I have gone and given all permissions in the settings and yet it WILL not send me the verification code forcing me to make it a linked companion device and I have to hold around my old phone. Have you found a way around this? Also Google assistant no matter how many times I set it as the default assistant it still bugs out asking me to reset it as the default. Have you figured a way to force origin around this?

In Indonesia the warranty that we got is actually 1 year international warranty, I dunno about the India version tho. So at least if you import it from Indonesia you'll get a 1 year international one. Btw that's not a US pin. For those curious, the local price here that I paid for was around 1200 GBP

I ended up buying the Chinese ROM 16gb half TB from you in black Mike. I’ve been holding off for a while but think I’ve made the right choice as Origin OS looks the better option plus the big saving compared to the price of the global ROM is a no brainier for me.

For example it can't access to photos right from the app. You need to go to gallery hit the share button and choose google Lens app so that you can translate a screenshot.
I contacted Vivo India and asked them if it was possible to change the AI of the Chinese version to English language. Unfortunately it is not possible
Surely someone on the forums will find a way to flash the Global ROM onto the Chinese version? Maybe unlocking the bootloader will break Google Wallet, hopefully find a workaround 👍🏼

It works on T-Mobile with no issues. I have the X Fold 3 Pro Chinese ROM version and get a consistent 600mb -1100mb/sec download speeds, great call quality, notifications, etc.
I thought manufacturers warranty is global, like when you buy a phone or car or earbuds or TV...etc It's related to the factory not to the local dealership. Vivo or others should commet to repair/change the phone whenever I bought it from, wondamobile or else. It should be globalized.

the chinese version is pointless if you need android auto and most people have smart watchs. if you aint got a car or smart watch the chinese is the one to buy, and the plug in box i think is a eu or indian one

it wouldnt. chinese imports and international phones work best with tmobile and at&t. they have better 4GLTE and 5G band overlap, and even HSPA when necessary.

That's not a USA plug, USA uses type A and Type B flat plugs. Round plugs are Type C (Europe, South America, Asia)
This is a great phone but I'm so glad I got the Chinese version. Saved a ton of cash for basically the same phone

The charger prongs were type C AKA europlug, but India modified it to make it look like the type A plugs used in the US

It's related to the factory not to the local dealership.
Vivo or others should commet to repair/change the phone whenever I bought it from, wondamobile or else. It should be globalized.

the chinese version is pointless if you need android auto and most people have smart watchs. if you aint got a car or smart watch the chinese is the one to buy, and the plug in box i think is a eu or indian one

But i think most people will not use a stylus. I had a samsung note 12 and used the pen 3-4 times. Might be someone uses it often. But this will be the minority...

it wouldnt. chinese imports and international phones work best with tmobile and at&t. they have better 4GLTE and 5G band overlap, and even HSPA when necessary.

We are all gonna laugh hard at samsung 10th of July for the fold 6 when they release it. So much worse from all the competition. Will be disappointed if they dont get booed during the event. Unless it is their employees in the room only.
