That road is somewhat there. There are some buildings by the bypass road for graffiti highway. I tried biking up that road from Ashland but it ends at a waste rock pile. There is/was a mine near the trestle that crossed the road. Part of FRO Ashland North Trailhead.
I dug and dug and I couldn't find information about a town in this location. If I had to give it my best guess, those houses were built when the Locust Run colliary was active. An 1860 map of Conyngham township indicates a town called Dawsonville almost in the same location as Ashland and Scottsburg near Germantown.

The fire is spreading into 4 other towns, including ASHLAND

@@Bob_V if you go there with a CO meter and a laser thermometer, especially in winter, you can see where the fire is spreading
