Werster is the only person on the planet who should be playing these games on Switch. What weird inclusions to NSO. Nobody should be subjected to a pure rentals only lifestyle unless it's why they're there.
Didn't have a Gameboy as a kid and still loved these games. Even as an adult, I still just prefer to play with rentals only, makes it interesting and challenging.
@@briansilva3765 I largely played them without the Transfer Pak too and honestly I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. The only way rentals is bearable is if you follow Wester's strats. There is no fun to me in trying to 'discover for yourself' when messing up in these games takes up a full hour of your time with absolutely nothing to show for it. I really think the Stadium games have no respect for the player's time as it is. I'm not averse to wasting my time but few games make it really truly feel like my time was completely squandered when playing it. Wasted.
The game definitely hits different playing it as a child with all the free time of the world than as an adult, to be fair. Still my favorite Pokémon games to this day tho lmao but that's just me
I love how werster is talking about how bad Tera is for teaching kids type match ups despite the fact there is no post game where you actually need to learn type match ups.
Would a import using run be interesting for you if you had to run RBY/GSC to prep the team as part of the speedrun and have to balance grinding up stats/moves with how much time it'd save once used in Stadium?
Hello Werster, I came up with a new team to face Elite 4 R2 far more reliable, in case you want to try to improve your time for the whole speedrun. The team I chose is far more reliable in battles 3, and 4, being a little bit less in 2 and 1, which are less important. Let me know if you are interested in improving your timing, as I know it's a pitty to throw to the rubbish a 12 hour speedrun because of a little bit of bad luck in specific battles
What's the team? The current record holder for N64 has a different team than Werster's (it is Graveler, Haunter, Voltorb, Heracross, Wobbuffet, Fearow)
@@alvarotoribio2095 How are the fights handled? The Will fight especially feels funky with Donphan considering the prominent amount of Electabuzz lead On second thought, is Geodude better?
@@stellarstarmie8221yes, the first one is the worst, but in exchange, Bruno is a guaranteed win. I deal with will using wobuffet, Dophan and haunter and resetting if I don't guess with counter/mirror coat. Bruno, if you lead with heracross, using counter, endure and reversal is a guarantee win in 98% of scenarios. If he sends executor, somehow you use endure, he uses psychic, and in the next turn use reversal, you will see how he always changes of Pokemon, I don't know exactly why...but that makes it a guaranteed win, having haunter and fearow in the back. Any other scenario with Bruno is ok, and easy to manage
for the first 18 mins, i thought it was just gameplay footage, and then our boy werster appeared.great run sir love pokemon stadium 2
So happy to see stadium 2 again
17:38 I think that's the first time I've seen Spite on Stadium 2. What a fun animation.
Fuck yeah, dude! Love Stadium 2 speedruns

Not really
I am writing a script atm for a complete Game speedrun on switch VC.
This Video will help me.
@briansilva3765 It would be more interesting if the challenge wasn't "All the rentals are dog-ass"
watching this while i learn PBR is so nice
"It's taking its opponent down with it"
