It was so hyped the song and choreo plus Army chanting everybody got up and was excited and dancing even those that didn't know BTS.

To those who go on and on and on about how BTS “suddenly” became big in the USA and globally after their English songs: NOTE THE DATE OF THIS PERFORMANCE AND NOTE HOW THEY WERE INTRODUCED.
Absolutely! This was in 2018, the first time they performed on US tv, but look up fancams of their attendance at the 2017 BBMAs (top social award, no performance yet) and 100s of ARMY were going WILD just because BTS walked into the room and sat down. Their cheers were 20x bigger than any other artist. There are so many clips of random celebs and media people looking around like "what's happening??" because of all the screaming. ARMY were growing since 2015, and we were already a really strong fandom by 2017. People who think Bangtan didn't get famous until 2020 must have been living under a rock!
I wish we could see an introduction of their band . The music adds so much to the performance, but nobody seems to recognize it. I especially loved the music for DNA. It's not properly recognized.@@shockofthenew
@@kaylee5251 Good point! I'm not 100% sure about this performance, but BTS almost always perform with the same band, a session band who go by the name 'Ghost'. They introduce them in their Tiny Desk Concert on youtube, and at live shows. At least one of them (Docskim) is an established recording artist in his own right, and also works as an in-house producer at Big Hit. He co-produced quite a few BTS songs - I was actually a fan of his separately from BTS!
I love that BTS always give respect to the other musicians they work with, you can see on their individual Tiny Desk Concerts they introduced the band members, and Taehyung in particular gave his band a lot of solos and space to improvise. I noticed when he guested on 'IU's Palette' he went crazy for the backing band there too, he spent half his interview being like "oh this band is so cool, I want to work with them!"
Another random example, when they released 'ON' Big Hit made a whole featurette documentary about the marching band and gospel singers who contributed to the song, and how that collab came about.
Anyway that's more than you asked haha, it's just a topic I happen to care about a lot too!

I cannot believe I watched this show and didn’t watch them because I thought it’s in a different language I missed out on years of living them I plan to make up for that and never again turn music off just because it’s a different language there music heals and comforts it permeates from it so I decided to learn a little of their language and realized I already knew what the songs were about music is universal

I love seeing BTS perform together. I went to their show in Vegas last year in 2022 and it was a really amazing and I’ve been doing the fan chant from most of their songs, especially DNA and I’ve been memorizing it pretty well. They are amazing.

First time performing in the US, and not even 5 seconds into the intro, the audience is completely losing their shit and giving a standing ovation even though the audience has zero clue as to what is being conveyed due to not understanding a single word of Korean. This marked the start of BTS subjugating and taking over the entire planet. They also inadvertently put all other K-pop, and american groups on notice that night as well.

Our precious Seven are separated as Jin and JHope are in their military training and Suga is starting soon. 💜 JK just released his solo Seven smash hit, breaking records! V has released Love Me Again and Rainy Days, both have broken records and V's album is due out soon! Right now, all 7 have their solo performances and records out and JK's album release date is unannounced. We ARMYs are faithful to our Bangtan 7 and will be here when they comeback together in 2025.
