Something that's always really bothered me about when K-pop artists trying to break into the American music scene is how people tend not to take them seriously, which has never made sense to me because these groups are so talented in so many different aspects (vocals, choreography performance, etc.). I feel like this has led to K-pop groups and artists trying to project a certain "Westernized" image of themselves exclusively for the sake of an American music debut, which is frustrating as fans because they're so good as they already are. That's why I'm so incredibly pleased to see BTS performing their own Korean songs, with their kickass choreography, being their usual charismatic selves, and getting such great reception from the audience, both at the AMA's and this show. I love how they're being taken seriously as artists and appreciated for their awesome work :) Major respect for both BTS and the ARMY, this is so cool to see :D
I remember being younger and trying to show my friends and family performances from my favourite K-Pop groups (2NE1, Big Bang, Miss A, etc. etc.) and most of the time the response I got was always along the lines of "lol they look so feminine" or "you can't even understand what they're saying". It just makes me really happy hearing the crowd cheering so loudly in this performance and seeing them on such popular shows (such as Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel) to showcase their talent and hard work :)
As expected from the main vocal, JK is very stable omg like he really has no problem in breathing in spite of the hardcore choreo. Yoongi is also really stable at rapping, his rap sounds exactly the same as the recorded one. Taehyung's deep voice and RM's growl make me wheezing, im such a sucker for deep voices 😭 Hobi slays the dance. Period. Jin is also very stable (and good looking as always) and jimin's impromptu adlibs are life 🙌🏻 THE HARMONIZATION AT THE END IS HEAVEN. FINALLY, THESE 7 BOYS ARE LEGENDS AND IM SO PROUD OF BTS. Those who disagree with me can just file a lawsuit, SUE IT *inserts SUGA's voice* 🔥🔥🔥🔥

This is where I discovered BTS. This was suggested on my homepage, and I've been a diehard fan since. This whole performance is honestly unmatched in feeling for me. From the intro/edit that the Ellen show gave, to the mixing/audio and vocal quality so crisp and clear. The lighting, small stage, small but super hype crowd, the outfits and the energy from every member is so good. Watched 100's of their performances, but this one is unique in feeling for me.

BTS are known for their extremely difficult choreographies, & singing live while performing. They train very hard to perfect their level of skill & talent,which is truly unmatched. Their diction & pronunciation is also precise & clear, in both Korean & English. Many people lip-sync, but BTS choose & prefer to perform live, despite how incredibly hard it is. They are artists who always want the audience to connect with their music, through the depth of emotion they can portray, even while dancing.
Once u open ur mind, u will get to appreciate these incredibly talented, hardworking artists. Pls give them a listen. *All their vids have subtitles. Music transcends language* 😁 "How are they singing that good while dancing?" Well... if u *practice more than 12hrs a day* ... no wonder😄 (in the earlier days, they practiced 12-16 hrs a day; these days, they practice 8-10 hrs a day. But doesnt mean they dont practice less. They are always on a schedule, and some of the TV show recordings in Korea last Sept lasted like...they were shooting like more than 24hrs. they hardly slept.) BTS write, compose, produce their own music. *90-95% of the lyrics have been written by them, since their first debut single.* When they aren't in the studio making music, they are in the dance studio, practicing. When they are on a break, they listen to other ppl's music and recommend them to fans. They really love music. They live and die for music😎 Even if they are super busy, they always make time for charity work. These days they work with UNICEF, #BTSLoveMyself #ENDviolence campaign. *100% of the relating camapign MD profits directly go to UNICEF, and 3% of their album sales go to this campaign as well* 😊 No one has a tatoo yet... One of the member, SUGA, said he wouldnt get tatoos because in later life he wants to do charity work (they are already involved with children and other charity work and volunteered in Korea. They still get in touch with the children they met via volunteering.) and having tatoos in Korea is sort of a no-no in those situations. No, there are others! Look up the #BTSisNotYourAverageBoyBand on twitter. If you want to connect with any older fans, i saw multiple commenting their age and stories with that hashtag. I have a soft spot when i see comments from older fans and/or male fans because i know the stereotypes you had to overlook to become a fan. I hope others can become as open minded as you :)
My husband and I are 42 and we absolutely love the boys! There are quite few of us older fans bopping to their songs and cheering the boys on.

BTS are known for their extremely difficult choreographies, & singing live while performing.
They train very hard to perfect their level of skill & talent,which is truly unmatched.
Their diction & pronunciation is also precise & clear, in both Korean & English.
Many people lip-sync, but BTS choose & prefer to perform live, despite how incredibly hard it is.
They are artists who always want the audience to connect with their music, through the depth of emotion they can portray, even while dancing.
Once u open ur mind, u will get to appreciate these incredibly talented, hardworking artists. Pls give them a listen. *All their vids have subtitles. Music transcends language* 😁

Well... if u *practice more than 12hrs a day* ... no wonder😄 (in the earlier days, they practiced 12-16 hrs a day; these days, they practice 8-10 hrs a day. But doesnt mean they dont practice less. They are always on a schedule, and some of the TV show recordings in Korea last Sept lasted like...they were shooting like more than 24hrs. they hardly slept.)
BTS write, compose, produce their own music. *90-95% of the lyrics have been written by them, since their first debut single.* When they aren't in the studio making music, they are in the dance studio, practicing. When they are on a break, they listen to other ppl's music and recommend them to fans. They really love music. They live and die for music😎
Even if they are super busy, they always make time for charity work. These days they work with UNICEF, #BTSLoveMyself #ENDviolence campaign. *100% of the relating camapign MD profits directly go to UNICEF, and 3% of their album sales go to this campaign as well* 😊 No one has a tatoo yet... One of the member, SUGA, said he wouldnt get tatoos because in later life he wants to do charity work (they are already involved with children and other charity work and volunteered in Korea. They still get in touch with the children they met via volunteering.) and having tatoos in Korea is sort of a no-no in those situations.
Basically, ARMYs love them for their music (every single song has lyrics that are from their heart) but also we love BTS for who they are. They never pretend... they are always just being dorky, funny, kind, and sincere 💜
