How many times I have been seeing this video in the last 4 years. Every time it still gives me goosebumps. Besides the fantastic rendition of this Gavlan (गौळण) Singer Mahalakshmi Shenoy's facial expressions are so engrossed in the bhava to describe the playful and mischievous God of Gods Shri Krishna as if she is herself a Gopi. Sant Eknath Maharaj ( 1533- 1599 CE) who wrote this Marathi Gavlan ( Gopi's expressions of love for Shri Krishna) describing this leela of the God of Gods eventually submits his love to this prankster Krishna as if Dev is his Bachchda (son) .

What a soulful rendition by Mahalaxmi ji .. Simply fantastic. However i find people are debating about the credit of composition.. Fine ..let everyone have it. But this actually is a traditional composition penned by Sant Eknaath of 16th century Marathi Sant. The word TAKKADA - is a wrong word, instead, it is THAGDA.. a 'thug' ( sarcastic). And Langda= lame, seems to refer to Shri Krishna standing on his left foot with right one slightly bent and rested on Left one while playing his flute... the entire song is a sweet complaint against BAL Krishna in a sarcastic tone .. Kindly listen at and after 12:40 s where come the EKA JANARDANI words, which Sant Eknath invariably refers to himself in every abhang or Gaulan .. which combines his and his Guru;s names ( EKAnath and Janardan Swami his guru..).
