My native Mangalore is having very vibrant Bhajan Culture .. There might be more than 100 Bhajan Sanga where we have regular Bhajan Programs and annual festival called AAHORAATHRI BHAJAN ( 24 hours non stop ) and once in say 5 years there will be SAPTHAAHA ( 7 days non stop ) ..
The beauty of Bhajan is that audience can participate and be part of this Bhathi Seva .. I call this as mind purification process which every one should undergo regularly.
We Kannadigas are blessed to have so many divine songs from Purandara Dasa , KanakaDasa which explains the great epic RAMAYANA , MAHABHJARATHA and VEDA < UPANISHAD etc..
It is really pleasure to see youngsters like Mahalakshi Shenoy is taking this journey forward .. Hats off
