For context; Gary Neville has become a successful property developer since retiring from football, most notably with Hotel Football. He’s also been part of the committee including Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham and London Olympics architect Lord Coe, tasked with figuring out the Old Trafford stadium and regeneration project. If that doesn’t scream ‘conflict of interest’, I don’t know what does.

Graeme Souness back in 2000 after coaching Benfica from 1997 to 1999 (winning zero titles) gave an interview to News of the World commenting on portuguese team and players before the opening match of the Euro 2000 between England and Portugal. Quotes like "Portugal doesn't have world class players", "England will demolish Portugal", "Rui Costa plays with no responsability", "Baia is a tricky goalkeeper", "João Pinto doesn't pose a threat" and "Tony Adams will eat Nuno Gomes". This was the best motivation Portugal could have to beat England with João Pinto and Nuno Gomes both scoring, Rui Costa with 2 great assists and Baia with decisive saves keeping the score after the 3-2 to Portugal. Use his stupidity to motivate you. It works!

As a Utd fan, I'll say Pogba was inconsistent and needed a lot of babysitting (like Scholes says), but had a few big moments. Casemiro has proved to be exactly what Souness said. 89kg isn't heavy, I'm tall and relatively thin and I weigh 95kg with much less muscle mass than De Ligt. Mainoo has dropped off a bit recently and seems a bit lost sometimes. He's not bad at all, needs to learn a bit. There are a LOT of current and former black Utd players that Souness hasn't said a thing about, because why would he? He's not Ron Atkinson. Admittedly, he doesn't understand finance - Utd are £700m in debt and the Glazers are valuing the club at £10 billion, the sh&*s. Ronaldo flagged everything we've seen since he left, because he knew...I could go on. All this video shows is a bias against Souness. I don't like him either, he's not entertaining, he's never liked Utd, but at least I'd find better examples if I was doing a video like this.

I’ve told this story before but it is still very vivid in my memory. I attended a Chelsea v Liverpool match in 1977 as a nine year old, my Dad had managed to get tickets and additionally also managed to get us behind the scenes permission. To a kid just starting to get into football, it was an amazing feeling to get up and personal with some of the greatest players around at the time. Along with other lucky kids on that day we were well looked after, had pictures taken and our autograph books signed by all the players of both teams. That is except for two Liverpool players, who declined pictures and autographs. They had such a nasty attitude towards us, we were only kids and they were two of the biggest football stars of their day. That episode cemented my opinion of these two players throughout their careers and I never once saw them in any other light. They spoilt what should have been a very happy memory for me and both were Scottish internationals. The worst of the two was Graeme Souness, for the way he spoke and dismissed us, I am pretty sure you can work out who the other player was! 😢

But of course most of it would be due to emotion, his high standards, and with a generous dollop of dry humour involved too (like telling DeGea he's not getting back on the bus!). Which is a big contrast compared to Souness, who is always deadly serious, and always looking for reasons to put players down.

He was in the team from 18. You wouldn't expect a teenager to be posting big numbers, you'd hope to see steady progression, which is what we saw. Ronaldo didn't hit double figures for league goals until his 4th full season when he was 22, and I think you'd agree he was playing in a much better team.
And your "majority of goals in the EFL" argument doesn't hold water when only 10% of his goals were in the EFL cup. 72% were in the PL and Champions League.
In fact, and it is a fact, in the PL era only 6 players have got more PREMIER LEAGUE goals and assists for us than Rashy. It's quite impressive considering he's played in mostly garbage teams with garbage managers.

Nah, respectuflly i disagree with this video. I'm not a real fan of any club in the premiere league and am cheering for united to get back to its former glory, but Souness isn't wrong in the things he said. Casemiro came to Man Utd from a (best ever?) Real Madrid squad and is overrated for the kind of praise he was getting from people. Pogba has talent but is problematic, Souness is right about the price tag vs. what he delivers. You say there's an X amount of players that managed giving 4 assists in the prem's history, but how many of them cost THAT much money and were THAT problematic for their clubs? Maybe I agree with the directness of Souness because I'm Dutch, but I feel like he hasn't said anythig that is wrong. Maybe the way he says things could be done differently, but stay true.

ridiculous nonsense. So arrogant to believe a 19-year-old cannot be criticised for his positioning, when United’s midfield gets overrun every week. Also, implying that the man is a racist when in the very same clip he is giving praise to Greenwood shows how stupid your deductions are; when he criticises De Ligt and Martinez he is a deluded lunatic, but when he criticises Lingard, Rashford and Pogba he is a racist. He didn’t like Pogba because he was an overpaid, overrated primadonna who turned up once in a blue moon, I cannot believe United fans are still protecting Pogba, even trying to rewrite history to suggest that he wasn’t a complete failure. Kobbie Mainoo's positioning needs to improve or change position so he doesn’t have to run back, as quickly as required, as often. De Ligt went to Juve as a hyped starboy but didn’t put any trees up, he went to Bayern who decided he was surplus to requirements, I can understand why Souness felt he was Lightweight, but at the moment he has been one of United’s best players this season, so he is wrong on that one. You have defended players who have received deserved criticism and opted for a vicious attack on a pundit who has got most of his analysis right.
