People don’t realize how much of an impact the big brother, big sister program had on people. Hearing launders talk about it brought me to tears thinking about when I was a kid in that program

I'm actually genuinely shocked by how similar our lives were. I was in a few cities around Toronto mostly, single mom, lots of shelters and halfway homes. We were the exact same person as teenagers lol, bandana on the face, mildly regrettable tattoos, selling weed on the bench down the street. The gaming cafes, counterstrike, like damn lol. The average Canadian experience. My mom was a drug addict and stripper who dated bikers that beat us up though. What a winner your mom raised. Good work.
