Im an audio engineer/video editor for a living and I already know what happened with that cringe event. Basically whomever was in charge of planning that event and probably had the power to where you really 'cant' tell them no. Like the guy on the couch some big wig probably thought "yeah let's just bring him in and put him on the couch like that ign show" not knowing that he'd need to be mic'd and whatnot. You'd be surprised how many people think theres just a magic mic behind the camera that picks everyone up with perfect quality. I think that was probably last minute too hence why he couldn't be mic'd (didn't have the mic, nobody gave them money to buy it etc). The other tell that it's clueless over-enthusiastic leadership is the cosplay crowd. Im sure they probably said something along the lines of "oh yeah those nerds dress up for their comic and video game conventions this must be how people dress for these things" and they imagine it like that in their head and no-one can tell them no. Anything in the entertainment industry is 100% absolutely bonkers *"we're gonna die"* at all times while planning these things. I knew evo online wouldn't happen before they pulled the plug because it's an absolute logistical nightmare

Bizzarro vs Eikelman had complete strangers literally screaming at the top of their lungs and hugging when he hit that up tilt in game. Ken vs PC Chris when he switched after we were all chanting for Falco. The 5-0 from leffen on chillen into the "my b", classic. Speaking of the tournament itself, big shout out to Prog for finding a venue after the original venue got shut down due to fire code violations. Leffen made his come up and beat Mango in $1k MM in bracket, PPMD beats Armada, Armada & Android in doubles.
