    This is very helpful to me, being I specifically use 14.5 and shoot a ton of .223 steel case. Thanks.

    Got a 16.5" POF P415 Edge waiting maybe 1-2 more months until I can bring my Polonium Home! First round pop is definitely noticeable but after that this thing is about all you can ask for in a great size package!

    • @TroyPosey
      @TroyPosey  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah, pretty much every can under 8.5” will have noticeable first round pop on a centerfire. The shorter you go, the more noticeable it gets. Nature of the beast.

    What’s your set up to shoot the polonium? I got mine and got a gas buster, BRT 50/50 suppressed gas tube, an H3 buffer, and a red springco spring and gas still has my eyes watering….. thanks

    Did you do the dead air quick attach hub? On their website it shows it’s 1 3/8-24? Will it work with the polonium?

    • @TroyPosey
      @TroyPosey  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, I’m running a KeyMo Omega (HUB) mount. The Polonium is HUB threaded. 👍🏼

      @@TroyPosey yup I just saw that lol. It’s crazy what a little reading can do for ya 😂👍 wish the hub wasn’t so expensive but is what it is. Gonna go put in for this stamp next week. They seem to be getting approved very fast right now.

    I’ve got a bcm 14.5 trying to decide between the regular polo or the polo k. Is yours pretty gassy?

    • @TroyPosey
      @TroyPosey  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Honestly, it's no more gassy than my Dead Air Sandman-S cans... If you want max suppression the full-size Polo is pretty awesome. Personally, I'm not a fan of K-cans, because for me, the point of a suppressor is to suppress, and K-cans just don't do that very well by nature (short, low baffle count), so to me (personal opinion), K-cans are a waste of money and a $200 tax stamp. But that's just my personal opinion. The shortest I will go is the full-size Polo and Sandman-S. The Sandman-S has 5 baffles, but not a ton of internal volume, and the full-size Polo has 7 baffles and more internal volume. It's noticeably quieter than my Sandman-S cans. It also has one of the best tones I've ever heard on a 5.56. Very low (deep) tone thanks to the all 17-4 stainless construction.
      You definitely won't regret a Polo. 👍🏼

    Hey, thanks for the video and info. I am in the same situation, have Sandman S and bought a Polonium. Wondering if you went with DA428 or DA429, as both seem to fit?

    • @TroyPosey
      @TroyPosey  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You want the DA428 KeyMo. It’s for using with HUB threaded suppressors. Which is what you need for using on the Polonium, or any other HUB (1.375x24) threaded suppressor. 👍🏼
      The DA429 is for converting a SilencerCo Saker “S-Mount” threaded suppressor to be used with KeyMo muzzle devices. It does NOT have HUB threads.

    Whats the sound diff on the polonium vs the turbo t3 if you have ahot both cans? I want quietest possible but gas is also a concern. I currently have an yhm r2 that i am using and that us my point of reference

    What's quieter for 5.56, the polonium or the hydrogen l?

    • @TroyPosey
      @TroyPosey  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hydrogen-L is quieter, but it’s not really designed to be used on an AR. It can be, but it’s main design is precision rifles like bolt actions and hunting applications. The Polonium is purpose designed for an AR15.

    How did you torque the keymo to the polonium?

    • @TroyPosey
      @TroyPosey  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The OCL cans come with a custom-cut delrin holder that goes around your can, so you can put it into your vise jaws to hold it while you tighten and loosen the mount.

      Works great! I highly recommend the Polonium if you plan on shooting 5.56 or 6mm ARC. He designed the Polonium 556 with a 6mm bore diameter, so it will also work on any 6mm/.243 caliber rifle.

    Hows it compare to your sandman on a 556 gun?

    • @TroyPosey
      @TroyPosey  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s noticeably quieter. Everyone who has heard it in person, walks away talking about getting one. About the same level of gassy. Polo sounds better on 5.56, IMO. You don’t really get any first round pop with the Polonium, like you do with the Sandman-S.
      Honestly, if you’re looking for a dedicated 5.56/6mm can, the Polonium is the best option on the market right now. Also, it has a 6mm bore, so you can use it on 6mm ARC, 6mm CM, 6 Dasher, 6 PPC, .243 Win, etc… So it’s a very versatile can for anything 6mm, or smaller. 👍🏼
      If you need something HD-rated to pull double-duty on stuff larger than 6mm, go with the Sandman-S. Both are great cans.
