Recently with the close of my latest round of dirt bike sweepstakes, I had to ship two different bikes across the country. It was a learning experience to say the least. Today I wanted to share with you the better of the two experiences. MotoShippers was by far the better of the two options.

I'm glad you had a good experience. Mine was terrible and my 7-10 day shipping turned to just over 5 weeks. I was terrified both mine and my dad's bike were lost. The bikes did arrive in great shape so I'll give them that, but communication sucked and missing on riding for a month longer than expected really sucked.

That moto shippers sounds like a lot better deal than having just some random shipping company

I used MotoShippers in May of 2023 to pick a motorcycle up that I purchased at Knoxville Harley Davidson in Knoxville, Tennessee. Tim Weig the owner of the company brought the bike to Anderson, Indiana for me. This was done in 9 days and was only 375.00 dollars. I would highly recommend MotoShippers.

I've used Motoshippers for a Triumph Tiger. They did a great job. Local company here in Washington. Bike was delivered in a few days to So Cal. I would use them again without hesitation.

I wanted to share my shipping story and what I learned. Hopefully, this info will help someone with this process. I selected CRST out of Ft Wayne IN to ship my 07 Big Dog K9 Chopper from Houston Texas to Portland Oregon in 2021. I chose CRST for several reasons. Their main competitor at the time was a company that loaded the bikes on a trailer and simply strapped them down. They did deliver door-to-door and that would have been nice but my bike would have had to wait for God knows how long in Denver until they had a truckload coming my way. CRST delivered to a regional depot close to me and that expected delivery date was scheduled so not much guesswork with that. Besides a confirmed delivery date - the other reason I went with CRST was they strapped the bike down to its own pallet and they did hold themselves out as a shipping motorcycle specialist company. I felt like this would be safer than just a bunch of bikes in a trailer going on and off depending on the delivery schedule. Plus my bike is 9 feet long and that was really pushing it on the truck's liftgate so it coming off was a real potential risk. When the bike arrived (on its pallet) I learned that the truck my bike was on was loaded with all kinds of stuff including household furniture. Not Good right? It worked out ok (no damage that you could see) but because my bike sits only about 4 inches off the ground the pallet really did a number on the underside paint job. Basically, the ride on the pallet took the paint down to the metal. It's on the bottom and there was no other damage so not a big deal but it's hard to match a custom paint mix for repairs. I ended up using red fingernail polish and that worked ok. The transporting ride, loading, and/or unloading must have been pretty rough - Im pretty sure it ended up on at least two different trucks on its journey which left the float in the carb locked (in my opinion from a hard bounce) and so when I gassed it up and turn on the petcock gas just pored out the overflow tube. So the carb had to be rebuilt. Further evidence that the bike probably had a hard landing or bounced around pretty hard was that the mirrors were both pointed down in the outside corners. Like they had vibrated down but once the mirrors were set back where they should be that's never happened again. Bottom line: If I were to do this again I would crate the bike like the manufacturers do and ship it that way. I'm sure it's expensive but if you value your bike as I do mine - it would be worth it. I'm not saying this company in the video wouldn't do a great job but there are risks in shipping a motorcycle. Just be aware and cover all your bases. Best of Luck!

So they put the motorcycle in the trailer so you don't have to? I'm wondering cuz I left my bike with my younger brother and he doesn't know how to ride so he can't really take it out of the shed where it's being stored, and put it in the trailer

is starting a motorcycle delivery business a lucative business? I just bought an 5x12 enclosed trailer for lawn equipments and now i sold them all and have an empty enclosed trailer. I thought about delivering motorcycles to customers from motorcycle dealer or private sellers in Central Texas area and willing to deliver to Dallas, Houston, San Antoino areas.

cali gulasen are you willing to drive 35 hours one way? Connecticut wasn’t a quick drive from Utah. Doesn’t make economic sense to me. I delivered the first 3 bikes since they were relatively short drives. These last two were not short.
