I used the Ice/Electric Mage and it is definitely OP against the standard/mini bosses Not so much against Dragons, but I still managed to kill all of them. Using detonations helps Don't forget to get the charge mana upgrade though
Wanderer's long coat adds 15% cold damage, 25% cold resistance, using cold ability to cleanse conditions and gain resistant from cold damage taken. So far at lvl9 it adds 87% ability damage with 88 defense (at blue rarity).
Tevinter knight is the most "frost" armor ive found so far, +50 cold resist, -30% fire resist, every 10th hit blasts nearby enemies with 100 cold damage and applies chilled 115% ability damage aswell
the ice unique armor is sold by the shadowdragon vendor at max level, maybe you didn't get that vendor? makes every 10th hit do extra cold damage and apply cold (great for the staff)
Not sure if Mythal's Light longsword would be any good to your blade as it adds +80 damage of all elements but drawback it has no physical damage just an idea you get if you successfully persuade mythal in giving you her god essence.
Have you tested your FROZEN FACADE? Mine is not working. It says: When frozen ends, it shatters. So when I freeze enemies with Frost Nova and the freeze ends, nothing happens. It does NOT shatter. Please test it and tell me if yours work?
Love the game hate the spec. There are way to many bosses resistant to frost. Being resistant to fire isn't as big of an issue because most builds that include fire have another primary school of magic like electricity comboing with fire or necrosis and fire. I don't feel like Frost pairs very well with necrosis because unlike the other specs the one necrosis spell you get isn't a burst damage ability and without the specialization to buff it i find it extremely lackluster. Penetration can help but isn't a magic bullet to solve this problem. The build looks cool but even without resistance factoring in its the weakest of the three specializations and there are far better builds that flat out break the game.
coral tip freeze enemies detonating arcane bomb. strike ability apply arcane bomb. youll never have to light attack again lol just stack bombs with strike ability. then trigger bombs with heavy attack. easy with void blade since you can reduce its cost to 50. its decent combo but i prefer knocking enemies around and u cant do that when theyre frozen lol
This build struggles against a ton of bosses since many bosses seem to resist cold damage. This specialization is very weak compared to the other two specializations and definitely doesn't compare to the hybrid builds you can build like the crit/heal build that abuses the IFrames from the burst abilities in the game. I was criting for 10k with Iceblast and 6k with the fire ball and stacking afflictions like crazy.
@@overtongreen527 Well the demon in "Desperate in docktown" where you had to fight several pride demons in a small area with adds with frost beams. I tried it with a spellblade build and couldn't get high enough damage on the pride demon (it summoned more adds and in the end killed me). With a bit different frost build - with entropic sphere, frosts nova and dark squall (and crystallize rune) I locked all demons down and it went down after 20 seconds...
The animation cancels in this game are sick, I’m having a lot of fun, can’t wait to try this when I do my Mage play through
Who else is loving this game?!
Yep!
I know i am
I like it but it just looks blurry on my ps5
Me me me!😂
@@aliciajones505 Looks clean and sharp on PS5 Pro. Might be worth considering an upgrade.

no mana regen with Q+E is wild
Think you’re getting block confused with parry - or do those block abilities also work with a perfect parry?
I am trying to build the Wanderer's Long Coat which is for Cold Damage

Can we have fire mage build ?

i notice it only shatters when you kill the frozen enemy. maybe its a typo
@Digital_504 But when you kill a frozen enemy, they shatter anyway, even without the helmet?
@@stainless5708 now that you say that I never paid attention. Going to test it with out the helm.
Why haven't you upgraded your skills with element perk's

How does this build do against dragons? Some of them resist cold
