    My CCW is a Canik Mete MC9 which I absolutely love. I shoot great with it and I enjoy it at the range. I don't have a problem loading because I use a mag loader. But since breaking them in I can load them by hand with no issues as well as my wife.

      I also have the Canik MC9 and it has been reliable and accurate for sure. But. I just don't enjoy training with it as much as I do the Glock 34 and the gun I carry, the Glock 49. I keep the Canik handy for extremely hot and light clothing days but it's just not even as comfortable as people say these micros are. It has that "keel" effect that I've read about, if that makes sense. I mean, it's light but I'm not weight sensitive (coming from full sized 1911's) so it just started to be a solution to a problem I didn't have. I feel bad for the little guy! Ha ha

    Kahr CM9 inside waistband since 2011. Yes, only six rounds but conceals like it's not there. For certain situations I do have a 365 and Hellcat. All are flawless and have their purpose.

    My husband and I own various manufacturers sub compact firearms. I really don't care for them, however they do fill a legitimate CCW purpose.
    I carry the Walther PDP F in 3.5. it's a gun I really enjoy shooting and carrying. We also picked up the 4 inch version for CCW. Your absolutely correct on the barrel length for proper ballistic performance.
    I mitigate the short barrel CCW issue some what by carrying a full size pistol as well in my briefcase.
    Thanks for sharing another great video 😀🙏

    I had a LC9s for a little while. SNAPPY!!!! I bumped up to a PX4 Subcompact for EDC which is leaps and bounds better in both accuracy and recoil. And capacity.. And just about every other way. Pudgy lil bugger, but a dream to shoot even in 40..

    Tried all of them. Kept the Taurus GX4. Best ERGOS. Haven’t shot it much because too hot outside. Will pay attention to the things you mention in your testing of it when it stops being hell outside 🥵🥵🥵

    Because I (1) live in a state that’s burning hot (AL) most of the time and (2) I work in a tucked shirt business casual environment and (3) my wife has small hands I have chosen smaller carry guns. A Diamondback DB9 for the pocket, Glock 43 for IWB (me) or off body (my wife) and a Taurus G3C for when I’m wearing a big untucked T shirt or a cover garment during our 3 weeks of winter. I’ve been considering some H-cats and P365’s for both of us because they are hidden pocket guns even in dress pants. Whichever brand we get I’ll also get the big version (H-cat Pro or X-Macro) as a bigger HD pistol that me and my wife could use with an extended mag and WML.

    Like many others my wife and I had tried different micro pistols. We both settled on 365 variants, I carry the 365 X Macro and my wife carrys the 365XL. Chosen for ease of carry, round count and accuracy, both have reddots. The other smallish pistol I carry often is the Canik TP9 Elite SC, again with a dot - great shooting handgun.

    For several years I've carried a LCP 2 and a Bersa Tpr9c. Since then I have had cataract surgery on both eyes, which removed the ability to focus on the front sight without bifocals. I realized that an optic would help since you must focus on the target and not the gun. So I started a quest to upgrade so I could shoot accurately without glasses in an emergency. I had been drawn to the sig 365 xl and x macro but finally settled on a Taurus GX4 XL T.O.R.O.. Adding a Holosun 507k solved my problems. So far no problems or hiccups of any kind, and definatly no regrets.

    I've moved through a few, carried a G43X, a CSX and a P365 in the past. Currently happy with the Canik MC9.

    Good Video thanks. I'm into the micro's for ease of carry. P365 and MC9; also eyeballing the new bodyguard 2.0 now. I agree the energy and lack of ease of shooting are trade offs, but the limited use case of needing it vs. having to carry it as much as possible in a hot climate is a trade off I took. Be well sir.

    I got medium sized hands so the micros like the Hellcat, G43x, Kimber Micro 380, just give me that connected feel to point and shoot as far as grip geometry. Trained with the Hellcat exclusively for a year and only then did I feel confidence in it. They also feel weightless when active. Full sized pistols give me that 2x4 feel but the best I've ever performed with were Canik TP9 Elite SCs and Taurus G3s.

    Well lets see... Before the new double-stack micros arrived, I was carrying either a Ruger LC9s or a Mossberg MC1sc. Both could be found at very reasonable prices. Hell, I paid $255 for the Mossberg. Since then, I've bought a Ruger LC9 Max, a Mossberg MC2sc, a S&W Shield Plus (in .30 SC) and I have a Sar9 Subcompact Gen 2 on order. I never really connected with the Ruger. I shoot the Shield Plus very well, but I'm not a big fan of the trigger break. And the Mossberg is by far my favorite. I love this class of pistols because of their ease of carry, adequate capacity and because I watched all the old Sean Connery James Bond films as a kid,

    We entirely missed out on micros - since CCW was an impossibility until Bruen there was no reason to have one. Home defense and range fun was about it. Now that it is consideration we benefit from all the growing pains have been worked out, like micros growing in size to almost compact size. So I tried a CR920 and didn't much like it. Ended up with a smith M&P 3.6" and that basic form factor. can carry any take to the range. Wanting to train with a specific gun is an important consideration.

    I used a .38 snubby as CCW for a long time, then recently bought a couple of Sig P365s. One of them is my CCW if I do not carry something a little larger. I have fairly large "meaty" hands and prefer a little more grip, so now my preferred CCW is a S&W Equalizer. I do keep the P365 close and carry it about 30% of the time.

    I'm mostly into the compact (15rnd) size. However in the summer or warmer months as well as in the house ish all day times I carried and still have , carry , and shoot a Walther PPS M2. I love it for what it is. Only last yr I found the IWI 9S slim. I've been carrying it since. I stopped counting rounds after 3,500. It or they are about, well not about they the smallest I'll go with . Neither 1 of the pre mentioned firearms are painful for me to put a bunch of rounds through at once. I have access to the 365 , canik , etc micros and yes they are "snappy " and such. It was getting to the gun , drawstroke and all that turned me from them and ultimately why I went the g43x size only IWI. The pps has been completely, how do I put it , stolen by my daughter anyways. Damn kids

    I train with a H-cat pro, small enough to deep conceal big enough to be comfortable and accurate with, I picked it up at a gunship and it just melted in to my hand so easily, it's a gun that I'm never selling.

    I don't live in a state with any printing regs. A long time fave had been the 32 Colt in my grandfather's day. It doesn't wear holes in clothes. It's light, shootable, and good enough.

    @jpay37 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Carried an OG LCP for a lot of years. Hated shooting it, never practiced with it, and realized that was very irresponsible of me. Decided I needed to take carry more seriously and that meant a bigger gun I can train with and shoot well. Settled on the P365 due to reputation and it fit my hands the best. Didn’t care how the Hellcat felt and for me the Shield size was getting closer to sub compact than micro compact. I do not find the 365 snappy at all. I think that stems from the LCP and comparing the two. The LCP was HORRIBLY snappy.
    I really enjoy the 365. More capacity, better trigger, easier and more enjoyable to shoot, and still easily concealable.

    • @gbgunsmedia
      @gbgunsmedia  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Coming from an LCP I bet most anything feels great! Very intelligent deciscion you made to move to something you can get good with.

    • @jpay37
      @jpay37 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@gbgunsmedia absolutely. I also have shot the 365 in a couple IDPA matches and that was a real eye opener. It showed me what I need to train and get more proficient with.
      Imagine that, some using their actual carry gun in a match! Haha!

    But I like my old P938! It’s the model with the shiny engraved slide and wood grips. Hell, I like just looking at it.

  • @MeMadeIt
    @MeMadeIt 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    All the single-stack micros compacts are too snappy to me and I knew I wouldn't practice enough with them.
    Capacity is what got me to reconsider the new "stack and a half" micros.
    They're all still somehat snappy but the P365 fits my hand the best, especially with the Wilson Combat grip module.
    At the range, I do enjoy shooting my 5" PDP and 5.1" P10F a lot more than my P365.

    Great video as always. Personally I've always liked and was intrigued by small firearms and small calibers. Microcompacts fill in my taste. Do love my Hellcats and P365s, but Hellcat is the one. For me, the P365 is a great shooter, but the workmanship that SIG put in it is just not there.... hence the Hellcat I carry. Stay safe Big G.

    g43x, sct frame. Great grip, great capacity, more ergonomic than a g19 imo, and a mountain of aftermarket support.

    S&W Shield Plus in 30 SC. I believe this round was optimized for a sub 4-inch barrel by Federal when it was released.

    The under powered issue, never concerned me since I expect very little from a 9mm. On the range, I find them easier than longer barreled pistols because my older eyes can focus much easier on the front sight as it's much closer. My Hellcat feels more substantial to me than my 365. Here in S.W. Fl. where it was 100* yesterday with a heat index of 116*, pocket carry really is the only way. That said I've transitioned into a 365 XMacro. The Tacops not the comp version with a pretend longer barrel.

    I went from carrying a Glock 19, to carrying a Sig P365, then a 365XL, and made my way to finally a Glock 45. I love the ease of carry on the small stuff, but I'd much rather have the ability to perform well with a full sized

    My Shield is still my daily carry. I don't practice as much as I should, but that's a financial issue more than a gun issue.

    Micro compacts never made sense to me. I've shot most of the major models, and I hated just about all of them. I have also been very amused watching the various micro compacts growing until the most recent iterations are honestly not much smaller than a Glock 19. I personally have had exactly one instance so far where I wouldn't be able to get away with my compact pistol and a more micro gun would have been a viable solution. If that becomes more common I may add one, but by and large micro compacts seem aimed at low information low experience gun buyers. People who haven't yet grasped the "your gun should be comforting, not comfortable. Carry the biggest gun you can and dress around it" gospels that I was brought up on. In the year I spent working behind the counter at my LGS and range, I would see them actually out on the range far less often than I saw them sold.

    I'm a fan of throwing in a threaded barrel to get a little more push. Folks that are more vertically challenged may find it extremely uncomfortable 😅

      @gbgunsmedia  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's about the only practical use for a threaded barrel in a small gun.

    Got a P365, but didnt really like it. It does require getting used to. Sold it, and went back to Glock. Recently got a G43X which i shoot better than a P365. G26 is still a viable option as well as s G27. ♠️🎩🎯🎱🇺🇸🏁🇮🇱🇺🇦🔱🌻🌸💮🏵️🏴‍☠️🏹

    I think I compromised all around in size, capacity and ballistics by carrying the P365XL with it's 3.7" barrel 12+1 capacity and weighing 20.7 oz.

  • @maxximus2012
    @maxximus2012 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I'm sorry, but most big micro compact fans either 1. rarely shoot 2. probably don't carry most of the time anyways 3. spend $900 on a micro with a red dot but $20 on a holster, or 4. (this is rare) shoot that micro a lot and almost exclusively. The people in category #4 almost always end up getting a bigger gun later anyways to shoot more and invest in a better holster system with practice and thought. Standard compact handguns will carry and conceal just fine while being substantially easier to shoot. A PX4 compact, Glock 19, APX A1 compact, CZ PO7, M&P Compact or anything that general size will do great on the range and conceal great with the right holster.

      @The3OfSwords 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I guess I'm number 4 here Im exclusive to my h-cat pro right now and am puzzling over how. To get a full size m&p to conceal comfortably, the gun is just so thick.
