Hi Mick great video as usual 😀. May ask if one day ( unless already done one? ) , if you can do a video on how you put up your poles etc into roof area to hang your plants from, in baskets or pot's. Sorry not much of a diy person, but being able to see how it's done will be of great benefit to me and others who may be in same predicament! Many thanks Peter
I use the same fogger Mick but in a much smaller space. I would like the Hydrostat further away but leads will not allot it. Could do it with extending the lead though - back when I bought mine they only came with a two pin plug into the hydrostat. What I find is the worst job is dismantling and cleaning the fogger ready for the spring again. That said it is a job my husband does for me so all is well there. Love the chestertonii it is looking brilliant. Flowers are few and far between currently and had lots of aborting Dracula’s but they are settling down now the weather has cooled down then I am back to 99% humidity at night without any fogger. Always something isn’t there.
Lynn I find it’s becoming more harder to control humidity I usually turn off my fogger about the end of September each year and yes humidity goes sky high during winter but I find by using a small heater helps to dry the air a little and keep any frost’s at bay, let’s hope we have a mild winter, it’ll be difficult for some people to warm their house never mind a greenhouse.
@@MicksMasdevalliaorchids I agree, my foggers have been off for over a week now it was just getting ridiculous. Fan runs 24/7 as well. I do have a dehumidifier but cannot justify even running that now plus I would need three of them. Heater has not yet come on in the cool house but temps are way down at night but has not yet dropped below 10C and I am letting that go down this winter between 6-8C. Draculas are picking up now too so fingers crossed for a mild winter - not that we ever get a really cold one down South - compared to what you deal with up North. Coming to your neck of the woods next weekend for a Judging Symposium in Nottingham.
hey man move your spanish moss that you have on the right side of the screen at 6:54 away from that hydro fogger! I know you know but wanted to say it :)... and from experience i can say foggers with inadequate air flow or f'd up sensors can cause your plants to get rust on nepenthes and black sut mold with the oversaturation! with the way that fogger is putting up water vapor you could probably set your new hygrometer to 4-10% less humidity than you think your plants need in the greenhouse depending on your intake / exhaust the fogger should not be on all the time. just wanted to drop a line man hope your doing well!!
It’s definitely worth checking Ynse because like me I assumed they were working correctly until I noticed it was blowing directly onto the sensor and with in a few seconds was at the required percentage further checking it was no where near the required level. It’s easy done buddy.
Plants are all looking great Mick! I could live in there!

No problem my friend I’ll try and put something together to show how I did it, thanks for watching and commenting.

Thanks for that Austin i'll move the fogger cheers buddy.
you alright mick? where ya at man..
Been really busy buddy getting ready for winter here.
I just got it down from 85 to 75 😁 I had a lot of mold

Mick, because of the shape of your greenhouse achieving a constant humidity throughout the greenhouse will be very difficult.
I agree buddy but by repositioning my fans and relocating my controller it seems to cover all the areas now and gives the right humidity level.
