Brunner Fridge Fan Installation

- In this video I look at how to install a Fridge Fan in Bessie our Folding Camper. The fan could also be installed in a Caravan, Motorhome or RV, so the video hopefully will assist many people. The video covers a look at the components and the process I took to install the fan and get it operational. Thanks to CamperHappy for their assistance in choosing this model and giving me speedy responses to some questions.
The fan I used is the Brunner Vento NG120 which has 120mm fans. They do a smaller model NG92 with 92mm fans. There is also a model that doesn't have the knob to control the speed (need to use a small screwdriver to do it) and another that comes with a wireless control unit. Prices range from £37.99 to £89.99
The fans draw air in through the bottom vent and then the air is blown out of the top vent. The flow of air greatly improves the performance of the fridge.
Other items I used where a inline 5amp fuse and some quick fit lever connectors - links to the fans and components below -

Hi Mike, great video very well explained hope you both have an amazing time in France and maybe we will meet up again soon ATB Mark & Coral
Thanks for the comment and hope you’re both keeping well. Never know we may cross paths at some point 🤣 Mike & Rose
Hi Thank you for this as Steve said he wants to get one so now knows how to go about it.
Thanks for watching, yes a great bit of kit that is far cheaper than most others and pretty easy to fit - Mike
Looks like a great addition to keep fridge cool, nice informative video
Thanks for watching 👍 Mike
great video mike, will be excellent for anyone wanting to do the same install.
Thanks Phil for watching and the nice comment 👍
@@BessiesTravels my pleasure, loved videos on the campers.
Hi. Nice video, thank you. Where did you install the temperature sensor?
@@kokkopa1970 thanks for watching - I looped it around the cooling fins at the rear of the fridge so it picks up the temperature changes 👍
Hi Mike. Thanks for the video. Do you have any real world experience yet of how the fan is performing?
@@TheCaravanGoodLife - Just been to France and with temperatures ranging between 26-34C the fridge worked really well. The fridge control setting was lower than normal and with the fan control on automatic we were able to freeze things
That's great to hear, thanks Mike. Will look at fitting one to our fridge.
Hi, you said the fans were sucking air in at the top vent. Shouldn't they be blowing air out? That would work with the convection air flow into the bottom vent and out of the top vent, and not against it.
@@rarknivesandleatherwork8045 - sorry if I said it wrong in the video - air is drawn in via the bottom vent and out at the top - will check the video and correct if required
@BessiesTravels ah OK, in that case, my mistake, I thought you were working on the top vent. The other examples I've been looking at are fitted at the top.
@@rarknivesandleatherwork8045 just to be clear. The fan has been fitted inside the top vent and is drawing the air through. So the flow is in at the bottom and out at the top.
