Now THIS looks like a gadget potentially worth having! Much easier to install than the Dometic one. Cheers for the review.

Hi James, very interesting. I confess my ignorance in saying I am not sure I would be able to splice a 12V feed from the van as I am not sure I could identify which cable to take the feed from. Is there a simple way to identify the correct cable? I could do the splice if I had the correct cable identifies.
I was sited on the north Scottish coast at a CL three days ago, (Crofters's Snug CL. a beautiful site with the best views of the sea and the Orkney Isles , the temperature was about 21C but the sun was direct on my fridge vents so my fridge was warmish). Your video was timely to say the least.
Do you think DIY would affect the vans warranty?
    Thanks Colin

Hi to Identify the correct cable there are a couple of ways, if you can search online for a wiring diagram of your Caravan, you may even have one in the manual for the fridge or in the main user manual. Alternatively if you can use a Multi Meter you maybe able to get access to the back of a plug and check for 12v Dc. Or do you have something like an Aerial Booster near where you want to locate and you could pick up from that 12v Supply. I hope that was of help

Hello Sorry I don't, But it was Several Meters, So should be pretty adequate for most installs

Hi, does this mess with the warranty of the van?

    • @CaravanEscapades101

Hi No, there should be no reason for it to mess with your warranty, You are only picking up a 12v Supply and clamping it to the back of the grill. If you are concerned check with your dealer first. Thanks for watching and happy camping

Hi James. Just wondered if you've got any real world experience with the Titan yet? Was it fitted before you went to France and if so did your fridge perform OK? Cheers, David

Hi David, I have, I have had Titan Fans fitted to my last 3 Caravans, so yes, loads of experience. I honestly wouldn't have a caravan without one now. yes, we had it fitted before we went to France. yes, the fridge performed far better than when we went to France without one fitted. I had the fan on Manual and turned up to max, it was very quiet. I also ran the fridge on gas as that helps as well. I hope that info helps.

Hi James , today I’ve fitted 2 pc fans and a digital controller that I can set the fans to come on and go off at set temps , before I started the probe was in the condenser fins and was 42 degrees , once fans started the temps come down and stabilised at 28.8/29 degrees ,does that seem about right please , hopefully fridge will get cooler quicker now and slightly lower temps

Hi, it sounds like you have done a nice job. yes, that doesn't sound too bad at all. you should certainly see some improvement in the cooling. We are in France at the moment and it's 36 degrees. fridge is on gas and fans on full. it's holding its own at the minute. 😄

@@CaravanEscapades101the fridge is empty at mo as not going away till next week but is turned on , when I put fans on and running for 2-4 hours the temp in fridge actually went up a degree , is there a possibility of pulling too much air out , my probe was in the vanes of the condenser which I think is wrong so now I have put it in ambient about 40mm above the condenser please
