You did a wonderful job of showcasing all of the positive aspects of our community. This is a wonderful place to live. I have been here since 1985 and have witnessed the constant improvement that has taken place. I hope that others comment as well.
Thank you so much for your kind words! It's always rewarding to hear from long-time residents like yourself who have seen the growth and improvements in Elmhurst firsthand. Great job! Thanks. I was born there and haven't been back in a lifetime or two. This was like -- you know -- a really nice visit. I love the place but I could not have covered it as well as you just did. This production had to be a Lot of hours of planning and execution. Again, great job.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm so glad the video brought back some good memories of Elmhurst for you. It really means a lot to hear that you enjoyed the coverage-it definitely took some planning and effort, but it's worth it to showcase such a wonderful place. Thanks again for the feedback, and I’m happy it was like a nice visit for you!
I was raised in Elmhurst..graduated from York in 1967. I have not been back in close to 20 years. It was a great place to grow up. Still looks like a nice place to live but wow have things changed since I was there last.
Excellent video, love the quality put into this. Thanks for sharing. Love everything about this town from downtown to the friendly people. My TH-cam channel being a Elmhurst train videographer, spending hundreds of hours at the tracks and counting. I always just sit down and admire the peace the town really has to offer. Love the video showing great detail, nice work.

Hey there great video. I used to live there from 95 to 98. I'm coming back now for a drive-through 25 years later I'm seeing that 70% of the what would have been condidered middle class homes (which were Built-in the Mid eighties to early nineties) have been demolished and completely rebuilt. I'm completely blown away because all of these homes look to be greater than half a million dollars to $700k but yet your video says the average household income is only $104,000. How can that be I mean there looks to be so much money here now are people living outside of their means? Where does all this money come from?
Thanks for your comment and your insight! It's true that many of the mid-range homes built in the mid-80s to early 90s have been demolished and replaced with more expensive properties. However, the average household income of $104,000 is also a reflection of the higher-income households that have moved into the area. Elmhurst is an affluent city and offers a variety of amenities and attractions that attract people with high incomes. Thanks again for your comment!
They have a great little lapidary museum, zen witch is delicious, and one of the best dentists in Illinois. Dr kopp. He’s a specialist top of the line work.
I understand where you're coming from with the taxes-it's definitely one of the challenges of living in such a sought-after area. While the taxes can be high, many residents find the quality of life, amenities, and community services in Elmhurst to be worth it. It’s all about finding the right balance that works for you. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and if you have any tips or questions about navigating life in Elmhurst, feel free to share!
Let’s take off the rose colored glasses for just one second and address something about Elmhurst. Your neighbor hires these landscapers that will trim your property nicely and pulverize everything. And then… Guess what they do with the dirt and debris? They blow all their debris on their neighbor. And in the street. So all your pesticide bug infested animal feces, infested landscape debris that has round up in it is blown on your neighbors house. Or they blow it in the street so you drive down the street every day recycling stuff that should be left in the lawn, but now it’s dust in the street. Chopped up bugs… Round up… Pesticides… And that will go on every single day living in Elmhurst. It’s filthy town that looks like something pleasant. Don’t get me wrong. It’s a nice town, but it’s a filthy town with nonprofessional landscapers on every block every house. It’s the blower… That tool is stupid. And in the fall… They chop up those leaves and don’t pick up one leaf. All of it goes onto your house all from your neighbor. Crazy huh?
And let’s talk about these landscapers one more time… Do you think they stop for the mother pushing the stroller? No of course not. Imagine your child, ingesting bugs and pesticides and round up pulverized and blown in the air. I understand it’s every towns problem but that’s Elmhurst in a nutshell. The bright side is winter. They all go away. Summer… Filthy… Winter they’re gone.
Thank you for the video. I lived in Elmhurst 1942 to 1956. Wonderful place. And it looks like it is still a place to build many good memories.

Lapidary museum is going bye bye - need more room for condos :/
Bottle' o water?
@3:10 it’s pronounced “arboretum” instead of “arbortorium”
And library, not liberry
@@cmjx40 The "liberry" (20 times or so) drove this retired teacher crazy! And "praline" isn't pronounced "par-lein".
I just love paying sky-high taxes..!!!
