Speaking of Chanel's quality control, my allure homme sport eau extreme bottle has a long scratch on the front side of the bottle. It was probably formed before they put the paint on it. I was surprised to see that when I first opened the box because I got it directly from the Chanel website sealed and supposedly brand new. For the money I paid I expected a nicer bottle.
Their glass bottles are sometimes indeed not the best quality in my opinion.
Not sure if i missed this part throughout the video or not but is the body of the bottle made out of glass too or is it just the stopper lid? Also what age range do you think this perfume is most suitable for?
The bottle and the stopper are both made of glass. The interior click mechanism inside the glass lid is plastic though. Perfumes know no gender and no age in my opinion. Having said that, No5 L’Eau is very etherial and soft and youthful on one end due to all the citruses and orange and then its also elegantly mature due to the orris root and jasmine and ylang ylang which give it a powdery buttery accord.

Don’t be embarrassed to have brought more than one I sure did. Even if I hate the scent, the bottle is so cool and special to me. It being limited and already sold out on Chanel , I knew I needed a back up or one to save .

I looked online but did not find it.
The scent doesn't last very long, which is disappointing. Additionally, the bottle is difficult to open, making it inconvenient to use.
The scent is a L’eau (very light and soft for summer heat) its not supposed to last very long. The stopper is attached sturdy to the neck of the bottle so that it doesn’t fall off easily if one carries it in the bag.
Not a fan of neroli but so happy for those who do! I'll stick to my No. 5 eau première. Lovely video.

With how well the print on the Bleu De Chanel bottles stay, it might be fine on this glass bottle. But with regards to the wobbly N, I just bought a new bottle of Bleu De Chanel Parfum and the CC logo on the top of the box was not printed properly so maybe there is some cost saving happening 😅🤷♂ Really beautiful bottle with this pebble design tho 👌
I don’t know if I’m the only one but it smelled like soap for me 😕
The soapy accord is normal for this perfume. No worries, it is not just you. The soapy accord is due to the aldehydes which are an intricate component of every Chanel No5 fragrance. In fact, each Chanel fragrance opens up with aldehydes. Its their signature accord so if you are not into aldehydes, then Chanel perfumes might be a bit challenging to enjoy for you.

Depends on the product. I prefer Chanel 200ml Les Exclsuifs boxes to Dior collection privee boxes for example.

They’re beautiful, though I’d love if they could screw open to refill - particularly since they’re limited edition. As they are there isn’t any use for them once they’re empty (other than as a paperweight). I may consider it though I still have a bottle of L’eau on hand. Cheers!
There is no magnet in the lid. Its a clip closure. I agree, they should have made them refillable.
Honestly tho, The printing does matter, as someone who (weirdly) likes ro sit, admire and handle my fragrance bottles, Chanelle being the prestigious brand that it is not to mentiom the price point, id like my bottle to be absolutely immaculate please! 🙂↔️
I agree with you. Every detail should be perfect. But alas… it is Chanel after all and I am sadly personally used to seeing flaws like this from them… just in my opinion of course.

I did feel the distance when I was there. It felt like a different world, it was awesome to feel so far away and surrounded by a different energy with completely different vegetation and animals. The air smelled different too in Australia. Like a parallel reality. I could recognize that we were still on planet earth but everything was slightly different than what I am used to seeing. It was a magical experience. I would definitely love to visit again. The sun feels different in Australia too. The difference between winter being summer and summer being winter makes the body and mind go in overload. I loved the shade of gold the rays of sun were imbued with each morning and sunset. The food was delicious too. 🥰🥰🥰😍😍🌅🌅🌅🌅

Yes it is the same No5 L’Eau from its’ first OG 2016 release formulation but just in a new bottle.

I don't click with this version of No. 5 , but the bottle is gorgeous! I am tempted...and a glass top. That's rare! I think not picking up the red Chanel No.5 bottle years back has caused a bit of FOMO.
No5 L’Eau does have a way of growing on one so I would not count it out too quickly. Its a hidden beauty in my opinion. 🥰

Has anyone's bottle broke? I was terrified! I was standing next to my kid, opened the bottle top and the whole thing came off with the spray top still inside. spilled all over me and my kid, and i am glad i was holding the bottom tight because the glass just broke off. I've never seen this happen, ever.

random thoughts :
- the design of the box with the silver oval & general egg shaped form just gave me straight up vintage cristalle vibes. i’m sure it’s because even though the egg shaped soap existed for a few of chanel’s fragrances, i personally used to buy only the cristalle soap hence the instinctive association.
- remember during the launch of the first trio of les eaux fragrances, chanel also had limited edition pouches ?
- a lot of my guerlain stoppers loosen with time, hermès 15ml travel sprays have a number of atomisers that pop off… nothing is made to last nowadays.
Chanel kept making the les eaux pouches all up until Paris Paris. 😉 so technically almost all the six les eauxs got the pouch treatment.
If it was the eau de toilette of the original No. 5 I would have gotten it. While I don't dislike L'Eau, I just would never pick it over the original because those aldehydes are enough of a fresh sensation already for me and then I'm happy for the perfume to deepen. Personally I would love to see a limited edition reissue of the silver bottle format of No. 19, my favorite Chanel.
I adore No5 edt. What a beauty! But it is not among their best sellers alas… plus No5 L’Eau is Olivier’s personal creation and the newest flanker of No5 so of course Olivier Polge and Chanel would push it more… they probably also think that it strokes more the nerve of the times we live in. I still believe that No5 parfum is extremely actual as well but the price for it is a lot to digest.

This perfume is a beautiful soft ethereal fragrance.
Got mine yesterday, and I absolutely love the shape. However the one that I got has so much glue on the inside of the stopper that it distracts me from its beauty. Also agree a pouch would have been a given.

The slight variations on the N remind one of the slight variations in hand done welding such as the welding done at on the windows at the Abbaye d’Aubazine.

Not true. I love the perfume inside the bottle as well. But as far as the glass bottle is concerned… people have been known to spend far more for just a glass paper weight object so why not get a perfume and a paper weight object for the price of one?

Beautiful fragrance, perfect for summer, and nice to carry in your purse or is it too heavy?
Not too heavy for me but it might be too heavy for some and the stopper might come off while you carry it loose in the bag and that might be risky and the perfume might maybe spray or leak in the bag so I would be careful.

The pebble hand cream did not chip for me either, but the No5 L’Eau version of it chipped for me.

It isn't in OZ yet, but Chanel emailed me with the email re: N°5 L'eau "we will let you know before other people get their hands on it" (am paraphrasing of course), they then, asked me ( as a VIP), also to come in and see the "fashion advisor", to discover the latest collection....just seemed odd...hmm
I digress, I love the design and beauty of the bottle, and I agree, it SO suits this delightful perfume. Its my fav fragrance in the very hot weather we get here in Spring and summer. Just divine and bubbly, yet soft.
I wish also that it included a little soft case like our 31rc's have. I think, by the looks of things, it needs it!
When I am finally able to grab 100 of them ( I jest 😂), I will maybe keep it in a black felt/suede like Chanel pouch that I got last year sent to me with a bunch of deluxe samples, it SHOULD fit- hopefully!!

They’re back in stock online! I was surprised since after they sold out I couldn’t even find any evidence of them have ever been on there. I dropped mine and made a little crack on the inside of the lid (the horror!) so I had my SA ship me one so I have a backup. But now they’re back in stock so I may hoard 🤣🤣🤣
