What type of flooring are you considering? I know bamboo is great for resisting bugs and great watering repellent floor!! I did bamboo on a back bedroom going out onto a deck and you don't have to worry about water getting on floor!! And it looks like real hardwood floors and cheaper as far as cost!! My mother never measured anything. She also was a fantastic seamstress and made her clothes without patterns.
I was a really good seamstress, I don't have good control of my right hand because I broke my wrist and 10 years later I had carpal tunnel surgery, they didn't give me pt .
