I think for price and stats, the 2nd Gen Max is the best device out of all of them!

Update on my experience with the new 2nd gen firestick max is that I really like the device but hating the fire OS 8 . So far I'm seeing that Wolf manager isn't working with it nor is Defsquid or launch on boot.
The Second Gen Max and Nvidia Shield would be a great comparison.

You need to fix your currency symbol (it's '$85,' not '£85').
That being said, I live in the States and have no idea why Amazon's price structure is what it is in other countries.
For previous models, I'm aware that customers outside the U.S. could only buy an 'International' version, but I have no idea WHAT was different about them or WHY they charged more for them (conversion-rates set aside)?
So, I don't know if the prices announced in the U.K. for the 'MAX, 2nd Gen' are for an 'International version of it, or not ... but could only assume so!
Still, is there a rationale for this 'International' version (seems there must be) AND is the premium price justified (likely debatable) OR is Amazon just price-gouging customers outside the U.S.?
The latter doesn't seem smart, but Amazon has always been greedy and controlling, so who knows?
I think we all know that they probably DO sell these streaming devices 'at a loss,' in order to jam all that constant and precious ADVERTISING in our collective faces (which is why they keep breaking TDUK/Wolf's 3rd-party Launcher solutions!), but I feel for you guys outside the U.S. who have to pay a premium for these FireOS products! 😢

I'm perplexed. New fs4k max 59bucks, new fs4k 49 bucks. I know x's r rough,but $10 diff. Why would any bloke even consider the 4k???? #2, ok 16g is a big jump n octacore is pretty nice, ++ wifi chip nice, but why should I move up from my cube 2nd gen. Or my Onn 4k's that i can easily add 100 or more G's @ $20/ea. I think folks are just bout fed up w/ Am n its incremental upgrades n it's updates that screw up customizing n its adds, etc.etc...😢
Can I kindly ask, I'm thinking of buying the new firestick with the 16gb storage but can I use my power supply that I have currently with my 4K Max firestick and will it make any difference with the performance? Reason I ask is because my TV is on my wall with my power cord through the trunking so would be much easier to just use my power supply already installed if its exactly the same and doesn't make a difference? 3rd generation firecube can record shows with an external hard drive. Can a 4k max record with an external hard drive?

I record TIVIMate with 1st gen 4K using an OTG but am limited bt FAT32 files of 4gb

Has anyone had problems with the 4K max 1st Gen, with the applications>manage applications? I have about 20 apps internal and 115 external. When you get to about app 110 or so it stops working and goes back to the home screen. It does it no matter which way you want to show the apps appear.

The 2nd gen MAX is the only choice or the cube if they put it on a sale. That being said I'd run a Mecool KM6 plus with it's 4GB DDR and 64GB of storage .

The New max is in NZ price will cost just over 125 dollars. When Converted from the Uk Pound. That if we have to get it from Ebay, Ubuy etc. As Amazon won't sell To NZ Customers.

Question about your WiFi speed tests.
What internet Package are you on from your internet provider. Eg 100 or 200 Mbps or higher.
As people on only have 100mbps they won't get the Speeds you get if you are on higher speed internet Package etc. And if you are using a 3000 to 5000 or higher speed Router.

Great video Doctor,with the new generation fire stick 4k max the16gb one is running wifi 6e. Does this mean your broadband has to be running wifi 6 to be able to use it or could it be used with broadband running wifi 5. Thank you.?
It says on Amazon that both the 4K and 4K Max is compatible with earlier WiFi routers. So it should be able to work either way. I don’t think they would force you to get WiFi 6 or 6E..there just saying that if you want to experience higher speeds then a WiFi 6 or 6E required. If you don’t have WiFi 6 or 6E it’ll still work. I’d still get it. That’s what I’d do get just because of it being an upgrade and the storage.
