I mow steep grades regularly with a 6030 newholland , many pushing 40 degrees on interstates in north east PA , slow and steady is the only way to hold your ground , would like to try a ventrac and see how it works in my environment
I have a hill that is steeper that I mow with my cub cadet zero turn. that being said, I have to be careful and it will only work if I am faced uphill. so it's not fast. I kind of wish I had one of these for it
If you're on a steep slope, you'll probably be bracing with your feet to some extent so wouldn't make sense to have feet controls. Therefore they have a mixed use hand controls for using the attachment and forward and reverse. That's how I think of it.
This is great for trenches, but how can I add this to the fleet with the majority of the work is done on a residential lawn even a commercial law doesn’t have that much trench unless you’re doing a lake or highway and the government usually uses slave labor, my bad I mean, prisoners or DOT when will I ever use something like this?
Nothing is special about this thing. In fact, John deere makes a mower/tractor in which the cab adjusts level compared to the hill it's on. It also adjust weight hydraulicly. You aren't the first one to accomplish this. And with the john deere, you arent sliding off the seat like with your machine.
I feel like it can be done easily with a zero turn. Ive mowed steeper inclines and ditches with a zero turn. Maybe not as fast. That thing definitely has more advantage but it can be done
WhT a load of rubbish we use cub cadet duel wheel zero turns have had ventrac machine fantastic piece of machinery but way over priced have gone to cub cadet we can mow faster and and it goes same places we took the ventrac

The dual tires in the front and rear are what makes it successful on that grade.
I love those machines.
I would feel also feel comfortable with a exmark turf tracer also
My exmark turf tracer would easily do it
Oh I’ve mowed much steeper with the ventrac another impressive thing is it don’t rip up the grass in doing so.
I will bet you the 61” tiger cat 2 scag can
30 degrees can sometimes feel like 45.....I agree, sitting on 30 is very different than watching it!

Especially impressive with the 95” deck! That in itself nearly excludes nearly all zero turns!
What's the tow capacity of a Ventrac?
I do 30⁰ on a 61" z3x at 11 mph. I'd be even more comfortable on a wright zk 72 with duals
A front mount 4x4 Kubota will do this also but that is a great machine
Toro 3500. I mow surrounds at a golf course. Handles everything you throw at it like a champ
Love the sidewinder 👍🏻 fellow greenskeeper
The sidewinder definitely cuts a lot better than any ventrac deck does.
I agree that the Ventrac is a great machine, but I wonder if the Altoz tracked stand on zero turn mower could do that.
i have one. its expensive. but very worth it
What's with the different hand controls? 🤔

I believe you may be seeing the extra levers for the 3 point hitch and the auxiliary and second function hydraulics for any rear attachments
Speak for yourself many of our accounts have a greater incline all of them see the blades of a 61” zk
You need to design a pivoting or tilting seat. That would be more comfortable.
Great video. I wasn't running down the machine.
While you’re at it, let’s add ABS and a collision warning system.
Give me a wright stander ZK or a scag V ride that hill will be mowed bud 😉💪💪💪💪
The strip you got on your way down and into the water would be what got mowed 😅
Haha you can think that bud almost 20 years of experience here you keep sucking off that over priced machine all you want 😉
Im gonna get this years model in 20 years when i can afford it. Awesome machines but pricey. However the wife cant stay mad forever right?...Right?
Do it now.

Toro sidewinder 3500 will do it
Cub Cadet Zero turn with a steering wheel can do it. 💯
is it really a zero turn???
@@Memesforthebros220 they list em as Zero turn.
Not unless you wanna go for a swim 🤣🤣

It's ten times better than any John Deere product . I have one , I know .

I can easily take a walk behind to that hill it’ll take a lot longer but it can easily do it
