For all of you that maybe are confused why he could make this so quickly while the actual game took so long to make. He's basically making a copy of something that already exists, so he doesn't have to think about most of the stuff the actual dev team had to think about. The Gameplay Design is basically finished and he just has to implement it.
It's pretty neat to see that you can create a working prototype of a game in 24 hours by essentially kit bashing open sourced code and models, I say this genuinely. Making games is hard, open source is a lifesaver.
Kool video! Educational for sure. I hope people don’t think this is how games are made. Interesting thing is that you can get a lot done with cut and paste approaches, but with the skills and resources shown here, it would never reach the same level of polish ever (no offense) let alone 5 years. Things that need to be done first are careful planning and design such that the game can scale to a particular hardware budget. Simple approaches to battle systems would have to be rebuilt from scratch as what was shown doesn’t account for so much stuff that would have to be worked out later. With that said, I’m pretty sure the video was more for entertainment purposes and I applaud this content creator as the video was a good laugh.
Omg your video reminds me of that channel you mentioned, what was the channel name again? I remember I subscribed to them but lately I never saw them in my recommendation, searching for the leviathan axe video also doesn't help. Thank you very much!
