It's funny. I first thought those pockets on the compression sleeve were just stupid and useless. BUT as I've traveled, I have found those to be incredibly useful. Almost every time, I have come home with some sort of picture souvenir of a boat excursion or certificate that was given to the kids for going on a ride or doing something. Kids buying stickers for their water bottles. Even taken coasters from different breweries to add to our home bar. Those pockets have actually come in very handy!

Seriously I searched for what carry on luggage I should get for a while. I was convinced on Away but then I saw your video comparing with Beis. I had never heard of Beis, but after this video and a few other reviewers, I got the Beis. I love it and the sticker price was so much better. Thank you for your through videos with great information.

Thank you so much for this comparison!
My partner has an away bag for his frequent work travel and he loves it. He has had to submit a couple warranty claims for replacement around two or three times though, due to big cracks.
I’ve traveled with his away bag twice and it was fine. But the beis bag seems heavier duty in a luxury way without being super heavy. Your review has solidified my decision to buy a beis.
The inside looks sleek and sturdy. Plus no more grocery bags for laundry bags? I’m in!

Was leaning towards Beis after your great review, but sadly their 21 inch rollers external dimensions are too large for most US airlines that they list on the size checker on the Beis site (when you click view product size just under the color dots). Too big for JetBlue, Alaska, United, delta, American, Hawaiian, allegiant, spirit, west jet, & easy jet :(

The price has been the same for years, but I am frustrated with sell outs! This is the longest they have been sold out for, and I feel like it’s because they are launching their new baby pink color soon.
As for the dimensions, each side is 5” and the expandable side can get to be 7! The dimensions length and width are also 14x20 :) I’ve never had a problem with my packing cubes fitting! Thanks for being a packing cube fan! You are my people!

Thank you so much for your review! I have a few questions that I wanted to get your opinion on.
    1. Do you mind that the compression straps go the opposite direction as the Away compression straps go? Can you still pull them as tight?
    2. Do you mind that both the compression straps and the zipper on the other side are not mesh like the Away?
    3. Probably the most important…have you had any problems with customer service with Beis? I have heard quite a few issue with their customer service. I have a non flex Away that I had an issue with and Away sent me a brand new bag with absolutely no issue. I am wondering if Beis is the same or difficult as others have stated.
Thanks so much for your help!

So this video is somewhat old and I have definitely changed some opinions since then.
The compression on both are just okay. Now that I have reviewed over 40 carry ons on the market, this compression on either bag does not compare to anything like Monos or July. Seeing the compression on these bag vs those bags… it’s not as powerful. I’m glad it’s there, and it’s better than no compression.
I’ve never used the compression pad for anything, to be honest.
As for the Beis customer service, I haven’t had a problem, but I know they are pretty much horrific and have heard tons of horror stories.

Sure thing. Is there any type of specifics you want me to pack? I usually do packing cubes on one side, and misc in the other side

A weekend away in Switzerland… well depending on your activities, I’d have one outfit for each day, and pack it in one medium size packing cube. I would have a small one for undergarments and socks and a bathing suit if needed. My suitcase would also have an extra pair of shoes if needed and probably a hat :)

How many days do you think you could pack for with the beis? I have the away carry-on, like the regular one not expandable, and I find that I really can’t pack a lot in there :(

I’m trying to get my hands on any other suitcase I can to review. Unfortunately I can’t keep buying a bunch of bags, unless the companies maybe choose to send me some. I will be comparing LEVEL8 soon, they are at a lower price point.

Hi, can you take the Beis carryon on international plane rides? It seems a bit chunkier than the other carryon’s I have at home. TY!

    • @ItsTheKellys
      @ItsTheKellys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

It’s average size for a carryon, so it depends on the international airline. I have used it internationally, but only when it fits well. I have a backpack for the other instances.

The warranty of Away means nothing. The handle and zipper broke on my Away luggage after just 1 use. Their customer service gave me the run around, it took them over 2 months to fix my luggage (shipped January 2022, I got it back April 2022) , when I got it back, the zipper was still not fixed.
