Back in 1977 my brother bought a 1972 Cuda red with black interior with a Hurst pistol grip 4 speed. The car was pretty quick red light to red light . The motor was built. It would shake and rock while idling with the cam they put in it. They put a 391 danna posi traction axle under it and wide tires on the back and narrow tires on the front. It would lift the right front tire off the ground about 5 inches on take off. He tore the Dana up and then he put a axle from a duster under it. Never did run right after that. He sold the car. It was a fun car for cruising in the seventies.
My first cuda was a '73 318 column shift auto. Loved cruising in that thing. The one I have now started life as a bare bones '72 318 3 speed manual. E-bodies are my favourite cars
My 71 Cuda was already a Michigan car with tons of rust. Then some fool parked it around pine trees which filled it with pine needles. I'm replacing nearly all the metal. New quarter skins, left rocker, floors, trunk, firewall, front fenders, hood, trunk lid, tail light panel, speaker deck, sail pan, trunk floor, roof, A pillar skins etc. Over 8 grand in sheet metal. Over 12 K in engine parts because I'm upgrading to a real deal 426 Hemi.
Had one 2004 😂 had my fun with it. Remember those new in the 70's. Back in the 80s great body's where in the wrecking yards from being totaled out from wrecks. Many would want them now. Memories 😅😅😅
Man I like em all but I really like the black top. 1977 I turned 16, had the chance to buy a black on black 71 cuda 383 4 speed car for 800 bucks and I walked away from it , regret it still today. Car was in perfect running and driving condition. Love the pistol grip shifter
You are correct, the "Hockey Stripe" is not original. They were a decal, fender tag code for longitudinal stripe V6X, and were a 1970 only option. Great finds!
I'm one of the few people who likes E-bodies but has never bought one nor never will. The '70 Challenger('71-up the front & rear ends are fugly) & the 'Cuda run ('70-'74) are very attractive. When these were developed, the accountants forced the chassis engineers to simply cut the floorboards shorter from a B-body. No suspension tuning, nothing else. They were a quick & dirty way to make a ponycar, totally driven by marketing & accountants- Elwood Engel did oversee the styling, best thing about them.
I had a '71 Cuda 340 4 barrel auto. Had the Gran Coupe bucket seat interior with console/slapstick. Besides being a '71 it had been ordered from the factory with the Shaker hood. Didn't know what I had at the time and there isn't a day goes by that I don't kick myself for selling it.
the panelbeater at work said he heard that there was a 4 door Cuda out there in someones collection ,we all INSTANTLY laughed in hes face ,hahahha what a clown
Looking to replace a 74 Cuda i had until sister forged my signature and sold it.i have a 87 k5 original daily driver, or a 47 chrysler windsor with 2 rust spots. Willing to trade or purchase if price is right
My first new car was 3- way black 1973 Mine had a narrow chrome vinyl trim down sides console with a T shifter rally wheels goodyear polyglass white letters,,$3,600 new LOL
@@budlanctot3060 yes I know., I have a 73 cuda. I found the comment hilarious, that a cuda with those side markers aren't "regular cuda's". for us that are mopar professionals, a barracuda is a "regular" cuda, and a Cuda is a high performance Cuda regardless of what year.
I think the guy is overly hung up on the bumperetts they easily come off with a socket in 20 minutes you can remove all 4 of them a quick polishing and you wouldn’t know they were ever there.
I remember when cars in that shape were junked no questions asked......Hell, I've junked a few myself......Now people want them no matter the shape....My how times have changed.
I had a 70 and 71 440 cars. Rattle traps, close the doors and you'd swear the windows were going to shatter inside the doors. My buddies 70 chevelle was built way better. You could actually go over 100 miles an hour without thinking thinking the front wheels were going to fall off.
Those would all kick the "Black Ghosts" ass with a few mods... That Black Ghost was the biggest farce I've ever heard of... A car ordered to street race ordered with almost every option available... Yea. Right.
This third specimen has a stupidly cheap highly obnoxious Dollar store like non OEM HSST , Most Definitely not Chrysler factor rear fender decal & looks very obvious , you on the other are almost fooled by the so-called strip. I'd definitely change paint & go with high impact colour and a oem billboard decal or even a clone aar specimen. Love the T/A stuff in those days.
Cudas's were beautiful cars. Hope these gets restored. Great video bud.
Backyard Barn Finds friend all 3 of those Cuda are worth restoring 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💪💪👍👍👍👍

Nice Cuda’s. I’m from PA. It’s nice to know that some of these cars are in our own backyard.

It's a shame these cars weren't preserved better. The 'Cudas and the Challengers were some of my favorite early 70's muscle cars.
This guy is really good, he is very knowledgeable & great TV voice & personality. Great Videos
What a jackpot ! Coolest find ever I've seen ! 👍✌
I would fix the rust make it road worthy and drive it like I stole it!!!! Thanks for the great videos watching from Texas
Awesome video dude my buddy in high school had a 70 440 Cuda bright red with white stripes. Loved that car

Another great video keep em coming
Number 3 is by far the best. But number 2 would be workable as well. Nice mopar's!
Nice find Parker. Keep up the good work.
Great job

I had the 70 Cuda , 383 and auto Trans and posi rear end ,
What a piece of JUNK !
I Like that Camaro , but I have 2 already and 2 Nova and 3 Chevelle
You are right, that hockey sticker 340 is not correct. The barn Cuda is by far the best one.
Ill disagree ;)
Amazing find!
I have a 73 BS TX9 340 4 speed exactly like those cars
Mine is in about the same condition also
Awesome video!!!
Love the 71's, gotta have the "Gills".
4 speed Cuda’s without a console look freaking awesome to me
The black cuda,3 speed manual was standard when new
Love the 73 340. Miss my 74 cuda 360 Canada car.
The 72 340 inside is a gem too.
Keep the videos coming my friend 🍺😎
Pretty sure the hockey stick stripe was only available in 1970, that's definitely an older decal or paint mod. Cool cars!
I had a 71 cuda green on green with a green vinyl top 440 four barrel four speed and a Dana
Great video
Nice head bash at 10:05 , definitely not paying attention to the secondary almost boring base hood latch
This happens often... to often lol
Funny, the triple black PO thought his water temp was more important than his speed
great job
I'm just finding this video Oct. 8 2024....are any of these cars still available?
Awesome
the panelbeater at work said he heard that there was a 4 door Cuda out there in someones collection ,we all INSTANTLY laughed in hes face ,hahahha what a clown
How much for the pistol grip 72 cuda I had a 70 aar in the 80's but had to get rid of it and always wanted another one but couldn't afford it
Looking to replace a 74 Cuda i had until sister forged my signature and sold it.i have a 87 k5 original daily driver, or a 47 chrysler windsor with 2 rust spots. Willing to trade or purchase if price is right
I love when people pile stuff on a car like it's a table. lol
Nice video
off topic, do u come across any chevy impala like the super natural car? thanks
Chevy show coming up will see if any impalas are around!
As long as the safety features check out, id drive it as is.
My first new car was 3- way black 1973 Mine had a narrow chrome vinyl trim down sides console with a T shifter rally wheels goodyear polyglass white letters,,$3,600 new LOL
the side markers on the 73 are different than "regular" cuda's???? lol, what is a "regular" cuda?
I normally deal in 70-71 cars
Starting in 72 the side markers were surface mount(not flush) corporate wide, I believe.
I would drive it like that🙈
Hey how much for the 3 cud’s?

I’ll take any Cuda , but I would prefer the 4 speed. If I had a garage, I would buy the camaro from you.
Just LOVE THEMS CUDA' NOT MANY AROUND THESE DAYS MAN LIKE TO GETS ONE FOR REAL NO BULLSHIT EITHER WAY DOG THAT'S THE CAR I WANT THERE WAS SO MANY MADE
Owned many Mopars from the early 1970s had a 1970 convertible Barracuda beautiful design but very cheaply made cars
I have a 73 triple black Cuda
ouch! I see you discovered the mopar hood latch ;)
😂 had to make sure it was original
Hockey Stick stripes were only available in 1970 and not in red. The stripes on the 1972 is not even close to factory ones used for 1970.
Are these for sale
Camaro price?😁
My 72 Raylle was a jailbreak car 340
What’s the crazy price
hockey stick stripe is 1970 cuda only
What is 69 camaro. ... is it ss or z28.. ? Price
It's a base Camaro. 10-bolt rear with mono-leaf springs.
