If a client is already subscribed to QB online with their Accountant, can I (the bookkeeper) access their account through my Accountant's version (if they allow me access through a username and password)? I like how the Accountant's version has all the client's listed, which will make it easier for me to do their bookkeeping.
Yes, you can access theirs through your Accountant version. They should send you an invitation from their account (instead of you using their password).
@@FinePointsBookkeeping Thanks for your response. I was also wondering if the Accountant version shut me out if I don't pay after a while? For instance, all my clients already have their QB set up through their accountant. Basically, the clients will be paying their accountant for the QB or have their own set up and paying directly to QB. I on the other hand will be using my Accountant version to access their business accounts, but ....since there's no payment on my end...will QB shut me out?
Thank you. But I haven't seen a video QB Simple sample. Like open a new company, Example, ""DONUT SHOP"" 1) Invest $10, 000 Dollar. Debit cash, Credit Capital. 2) Rent a Shop. 3) Hire an Employee Robert) 4) Buy Supplies. 5) weekly sales $2000. 6) Paid Your Employee weekly salary $$500. 7) weekly Income statement and balance sheet. Next week the same, on and on. We need to learn it this way. Or we need to buy this sample QB, if they have.
I was hired by a small company 2 months ago(family). I have NO experience and have not worked in 20 years. I am learning on the job. My boss is VERY patient and we do recorded ZOOM vids for me to review. I have been doing the QBO trainings and practice exams to try for the exam. Is there a book besides the Dummies that has terminology because i don’t know most of it. He says I’m learning fast but I want more training. What does a NO EXPERIENCE person do to get better?
What I found when working through the trainings using the sample books. My goal was to have a window with training instructions and another with the sample: * First, I tried launching from my account but it closes it when opening the demo 😢 * Second, opened an ingonito Chrome window and cut/paste the URL from the "ProAdvisor Challenge" section ---👋👋 * Third, I tried to bookmark the demo books so I could go back without the cut & paste routine. Didn't work BECAUSE the URL has a timestamp parameter which QBO apparently uses for session management So using the bookmark forces a login whose credentials I couldn't figure out But at least I got the side by side I wanted Just wanted to pass this along..😉
Hi. I tried to open the sample company in a separate Chrome ignito so I can do the exercies while doing the exercises in QBO BUT I asks me for login credentials but doesn't recognize my ProAdvisor credentials.... Thoughts?
Sorry, we are unsure of why it would not recognize your login information. Morgan has not had this issue before. You may try reaching out to QBO directly. Krista (FinePoints Admin)
Dear Morgan I see your video from Bangladesh, I open a company account on Quickbooks 30 days free trial but even after 30 days i couldn’t setup another 30 days free trial for my QB practice. (N:B- Try to QB pricing but not shown 30 days free trial). Would you give me advice how i could practice QB online as an accountant. Best regard Md. Rahmatul Bari
What is more confusing are the apps that are used which maybe compatible or not compatible with quickbooks. And other acctg products that comes into the fray which makes it more confusing to bookeepers. Cant the industry do a standard practice to make more simplier than making it more complicated.
One of the accounts is savings, but savings account is meant to hold money and not necessarily have transactions, why would they add it to the sample company?
Hey! A savings account would still be an account that a business has and in order to reflect all of the money in the business, you would want to include it in QBO. And although the business may not be taking money out of the savings regularly, they may be adding money to the savings, which would create transactions within the account. Krista (FinePoints Admin)
Thank you for this information!! I will be trying this out.
I was just thinking about this. It's like you read my mind. :)
Thank you so much for everything you share. It is appreciated 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!

Good point. But it would be nice to do a full accounting practice till closing of books. And also how to clean up books?
That would bring lots of traffic into her channel, very few (if any) channels offer a step by step of how to do the books until closing
@@geraldmarcano2514 I agree!
Great ideas, I'll add this to Morgan's list of ideas for future videos ~Gabe, FP admin
Thank you I was looking for something like this to see if I really want to do this.
Glad it was helpful!

Thanks for responding. 😉
How do we start new using the free "online accountant" account? I want to clear everything and start over.
Hey! Morgan says you could create a new login with new credentials and everything will be clean in the new account.
