    Can use potassium carbonate to balance ph as well. Sold at local brew shop. I’m actually picking some up tomorrow.

      Yes you can! Were I to do it again, I’d balance Ph with potassium carbonate.

    Oh dear… that feeling of ‘Eghad, this made me feel awful’ is familiar indeed! I sympathise!
    The bitterness you.re getting might come from the cranberries. They have a bitter note to them.

      I'm glad I'm not the only one! Some experiences ruin certain alcohols, no matter how good they might be inherently!

    Oh I know the feeling of that guttural queasiness you get when smelling something that gave you a very bad time. It took me a few years to get over something that did that for me and even now it is not fully gone.

    ever try 1 g/L of sodium bicarbonate rather than a banana? if that doesn't work, double the amount

      I bought some but I haven’t worked with it yet! I think for nostalgia’s sake I will remake it with some potassium carbonate (basically the same stuff as sodium bicarbonate) and see how it comes out!
