    Where i live they really push to call before you dig for utility locating.

    Amazing how you get all the angles of pipe matched up. You're a puzzle master! 🧩 Very lucky you didn't nick into electrical lines. Whew.

    Do you call your utility companies to come out and mark where their lines are before you start digging? I’m not 100% sure but I think that in the part of California that I live in you can’t even get a permit for doing this type of work if you haven’t had the utility companies come out and mark the lines on the property (which they do for free, as they should) also because if you mess up, the repairs are on you. I believe this may be a CAL-OSHA requirement so that you don’t blow up the neighborhood.
    (CAL-OSHA is the program responsible for enforcing California laws and regulations pertaining to workplace safety and health and for providing assistance to employers and workers about workplace safety and health issues).

      It works a bit different here. I wish they would come and do it for free.

    Is there a problem with allowing storm water to flow onto the yard instead of being piped underground to the street? Thanks.

    Also you have cool tattoos!

    Try taping your cleaner and glue together - they stay together and won't fall over as easily :)

    Always run a CAT over the area before digging! Seen a guy hit a HV cable because he couldn't be a$$ed to check beforehand.

    How come you didn’t put in a clean out below that rather beautiful piece of pipe sculpture that you made? I can see that getting blocked by debris, twigs and leaves really easily. You have no way now to get into the most likely problem areas. Beyond that, fantastic job, and very very skilful digging 👍🏻😷

      Thank you!
      All good mate. I have access from 3 points to jet if ever required. The street, the down pipe I put in and a grate up stream from the connection. Bringing a point to surface is an over kill and a pain to mow around. Also is won't block up mate :)

    Funny to see a license plate on that Kubota, or was that just the plate for the trailer it's hauled on?

      Always fun to work on old construction.
      I’m an American and from some of the stuff I’ve seen, drunk uncle who somehow avoided killing himself was the minimum building standard in the 60s and earlier.

    Sir, did you know the power line was there or found by digging?

    • @penetratorblockeddrains
      @penetratorblockeddrains  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I could see a junction box on the property wall near by. I knew there could be 2 or 3 conduits. The owner couldn't remember the exact number or location. So we found them digging.
