@PowerOf One I just fell in love with VX from when it was first released. Bought my first one in 1991, sold it and regretted it and bought another, then another and so on. Now up to nine!
@@briggsfartblender788 are they reliable? I have a 1992 one with 30k miles being delivered to from Germany to Ireland on Friday, anything specific to look out for? I've heard I need to put a fuel shut off valve in mine because 1992 only have a 'RESERVE' or 'ON' option and the petcock can fail...
@@Jerryosu83 Mine have all been pretty reliable, the first one did 130,000 miles before I sold it. I've never had a problem with the fuel petcock, but I think the problem is fairly common. The original petcock has three positions, On, Off and Reserve. The problem occurs if it's not turned to Off when the bike is standing, fuel can leak down into the crankcase and cause all sorts of problems. The later models are fitted with a vacuum-operated petcock which cured the problem. My current daily rider is a 1996 with a manual petcock which a previous owner fitted, so I always make sure to turn it off when I stop. I had an ignition coil fail on one of mine, but I don't think that's a common occurrence. The bikes are not everybody's cup of tea, not particularly fast, slightly unusual steering and handling characteristics until you get used to it, but a good, solid everyday usable bike that does all I need, easy to work on and comfortable for me, I'm a big lad, 6ft 3 and 25 stone. Good on fuel as well. Hope this helps, enjoy your VX!
@@briggsfartblender788 thanks for the detailed reply ! Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh, these bikes were never sold in Ireland, only mainland Europe so they are rare here!
@@bobalmighty2925 crazy, my only issue was it drank oil like a 2 stroke. but some of those big V-twins did it from new, whereas others with same bike didn't have that issue. I even track dayed it one time, and it was great. no bottoming out .
so why didnt you just increase the piolet jet size? jet cost 10 bucks for each carb and with a screwdriver and a 10mm wrench you could change the jets yourself in 30 mins.
kann ich empfehlen, habe Suzi gerade als mein neues Bike , eine butterweiche Fahrt mit durchzug wartet auf Euch mit ordentlich Hubraum gepeitsche~~~herrlich!
I've had one, but all of these Suzuki sound raw like air cooled engines. I always thought cam chain or valves needed adjustment with these judging by the sound that comes from the engine. Quite agricultural. I now have a Honda NTV650 from '97 and that engine runs buttery smooth without all the mechanical noises.
Under rated motorcycle. I had one for a couple of years and I loved it.
Absolutely stunning. Looks brand new
Sweet. I’m going to look at one tomorrow with only 6000 kms on the clock 🕰
Love 'em. I've had eight!

@@Jerryosu83 You are very welcome.
very beautiful old motorcycle
I crashed one in 2015, stil missing this bike.
Had one in same condition as here and bought it from the first owner.
Such a shame i crashed it.
I had one. Hated it's cold bloodedness. Took forever to warm up. But once it did, tons of torque.
Hmm, funny, i didn't seem to have that problem
@@pixelfreeway I did...also front fork travel was insufficient for me. I would bottom out frequently.

Nice looking bike with a Shaft drive, we don't get that Honda model in new zealand unfortunately. Our ones are chain drive.
Здравствуйте. Какой вам больше нравится Сузуки или Хонда

@@МаркДмитренко-я5к I generally prefer Suzuki, I have a DL650 now, only owned one Honda which was a beautifully restored 1971 CL350
