For advice and budget, you have to consider that we made this trip in 2012, so today many things have changed! However it was a beautiful trip with no kind of problem! Hi, in addition to normal maintenance, we have replaced the front forks by mounting the progressive ones. We also replaced the mono rear shock absorber. Of course we had the new transmission kit (chain + crown + pinion) and the new tires. For all visas needed for the trip Mongolia (including that for Turkmenistan) we relied on a Rome agency specializing in visas all over the world.
For advice and budget, you have to consider that we made this trip in 2012, so today many things have changed!
However it was a beautiful trip with no kind of problem!

Hi, in addition to normal maintenance, we have replaced the front forks by mounting the progressive ones. We also replaced the mono rear shock absorber. Of course we had the new transmission kit (chain + crown + pinion) and the new tires. After Mongolia we traveled from Alaska to Ushuaia:

A fantastic experience!!! The motorcycle has never had problems. Before leaving I replaced the rear shock!!! Good road :)
