All the young kids from our generation that grew up, listening to hip-hop and also having the culture and their family as far as music and pop culture just ended up blending together. Bradley mentioned about kids wanting to act black and that’s a fact. Growing up I wanted to dress and sound and talk just like the rappers that I saw on TV but at family parties I was hearing all the Spanish music that my parents would play. These kids now grew up and just made it cool like the things that came natural to us because of our background. There’s no doubt that especially in places like California or even more so in Los Angeles that Chicano culture is trendy, but it is what it is. Mixture of culture is a beautiful thing.
