Sir u said in type 1 there is normal or cynosia late and u said mainly problem with co2 not o2 then why type 1 give high o2?? I,m confused i read that type 1 is always relate with hypoxmia type 2 always increaced co2..

In type 1 air is plenty but u can’t take it.so A is more but a is less because oxygen is removed and utilised but not new oxygen is going from atmosphere so gradient is increased but in type 2due to respiratory muscle pathology person is not able to take the normal air provided.A is normal.and a is also normal so gradient is normal.but problem is in muscle but membrane diffusion all are normal
