I really enjoy that you highlight the plants and animals that you see and take the time to label them. This looks like an amazing section of the trail with paths through the trees and around lovely lakes.

Love your nature and hike vlogs. I’ve learned so much from you. That mud reminded me of New Hampshire AT. Happy trails.🤘🏻🥾⛰️

Another wonderful video! I noticed white bark trees in the "hills section" of Parish Hills (around 6:05). Were they Birch or Aspens?

Thanks! I'm not sure, actually. Both types of trees grow in the area, and with just looking in the video, it's hard to tell. Birch bark peels, and aspen bark does not. Birch leaves are more elongated and triangular, which aspen leaves are more heart shaped.

I’m sure you aren’t looking for recommendations, but I’d love to see videos of you hiking the East Coast Trail of Newfoundland.

When I hiked that segment in 2021 we shared the campsite on Chain Lake with a group that we deemed a “cult” - probably not, but they were a little odd lol

I believe your "gray partridge?" is actually a Spruce Grouse.

You may be right....I feel like it would be rather far north for a gray partridge. But it's also very far south for a flock of spruce grouse (there was a whole flock that I scared up). The quality of the video was so poor at that distance, but the color/plumage pattern on the side/belly of the bird didn't look like ruffed or spruce grouse to me. I wish I had gotten better video :)
