Carrie Underwood called Stephen King and asked permission to use the "Christine" scenes before she made the video. He gave his blessing and the rest is history as they say.
I would love for you guys to react to Carrie's song Temporary Home. It is simple yet the lyrics are powerful and she shows off her range. It is definitely one of my favorites along with her song Mama's Song that she wrote before she got married to Mike Fisher.
One of Keith's best drink reactions, those facial expressions were a hoot. To hear more of Carrie's vocal strength, please listen to Something in the Water.
Usually people like this song because it’s the end of the three song trilogy. “Last Name”, “Before he Cheats” and this one. The videos even have the same two actors involved in them. I would say “last name” and “before he cheats” both show off her vocals better than “two black Cadillacs”.
Carrie is known for being just as good live if not better than the studio recordings. I’d say songs like Wasted, I Told You So, Just A Dream, Spinning Bottles, Jesus Take the Wheel or Low show off her vocals way better.
oh I saw someone posted Jesus take the wheel also.. another great one. one of her earlier ones too. and Something in the Water"!! how could I forget that one 🤦♀️. love love that one
Would love to see you guys react to the video of JUST A DREAM and then, her live performance of Randy Travis's I told you So from 2017 at Grand Ole Opry.....it'll blow you away again....Then do the video of So Small and Temporary Home - more amazing songs!!
Hey, you have to admit, in this one, the gals didn't put up with the cheater. Not saying killing him was exactly the way to go, but at least neither was begging him to stay with them. The ladies of country music have moved away from standing by their man to putting his ass six feet under when he cheats. Or beating the hell out of his truck. Or setting fires. For a minute there, I was worried about Keith after he took that first sip. Check out Carrie's "Cowboy Cassanova"

In honor of Loretta Lynn's passing, I have been reminiscing. A song that sums it up. "LAY ME DOWN" Loretta Lynn and her very great friend Willie Nelson. It is in their recent older age. Both so beautiful voices still. Official video of them singing. Loretta is gone (90). RIP❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You should really react to Carrie Underwood doing the song How Great Thou Art featuring Vince Gill. She starts strong and only goes up from there. Vince Gill does an Amazing guitar solo where he makes his guitar talk to you. They do a beautiful rendition of the old classic gospel song.
Keith, I’m happy to hear you pick-up on the over-production. There so many great female artists without “all that”. Congrats to Ashley McBride - Invited to join The Grand Ol’ Opry 10/5

This is classic Carrie, best part of this song is the video, wish the CGI was better. Her vocals are great, just wish she had more diversity in her lyrics.
Going with votes for music videos, put me in for Toby Keith "Made In America" the Official Music Video. Doing the Official Video has a couple things in it for Keith! 😁
I love Two Black Cadillacs but personally believe Blown Away shows off her pipes better. They were back to back singles. Video is awesome but since you guys aren't a fan of cinematic videos you might enjoy a live performance better.
I don’t know if you guys done this yet or not. The light Keith Whitley don’t Close your eyes. Great song great artist. Finally inducted to the country music Hall of Fame. It’s about time they did that 30 years too long.
I would recommend reacting to her live performance. Recodings don't do her justice. Her live performance of 'Somerhing in the Water" and "Cry Pretty" both American Idol performances.
I just watched that. It's a REALLY ambitious tune to cover. The original has so much brilliant stuff in it. One thing missing was the band harmony/vocal backing in the choruses. Another is the amazing guitar interplay between Slash and Izzy. Few people realize this, but Slash and Izzy almost always played the same song at the same time, in VERY different ways. It was like two different performances that just happened to be with the the same set of drums. Having said that, Carrie showed off some serious power, even if she couldn't match Rose's vocal complexity. But I'll bet you a dollar that today, she'd blow him off the stage side-by-side. Because Rose sounds like crap now. - Keith
This song is part of a trilogy. The first one is called Last Name (where she meets and marries the guy) and wins the truck. th-cam.com/video/f27zNlmRMWU/w-d-xo.html The second is called Before He Cheats, where she does things to the truck. th-cam.com/video/WaSy8yy-mr8/w-d-xo.html The two videos start the same way. Guess the guy continued to cheat which brings us to this one, but this time the wife and mistress get together and write him off for good. Guess he won't cheat again. Great reaction.
I know you guys reacted to Carrie’s live version of The Champion and I’ll admit it wasn’t her best performance but if you want to hear some of her awesome vocals you need to react to the actual video of The Champion. It’s a powerful song as well.
When the car repairs itself signify that his soul went into the car. She resting the key on the grave mean you are now the driver. He has to obey them now!!! 🤯
This isn’t a Carrie suggestion, however… I do know that you’re both (especially Keith), is a sucker for female vocals. So, I think you should look into Miss Carly Pearce in the live video of Dear Miss Loretta at the Grand Ole Opry honoring Loretta Lynn’s passing. AMAZING STUFF! I’m not sure if you’ve done Loretta Lynn either, but her song Coal Miner’s Daughter is amazing and is mentioned in the Dear Miss Loretta song as well! Love your videos! Keep it going ✌🏼

I have nothing against this song and particularly with Carrie, she’s a true talent. But, we live in weird times so I ask this question, why do we celebrate and never question songs containing violence towards men but yet if a male would sing about the same topic - two guys who plotted and killed a women - he’d be vilified and probably cancelled? “Goodbye Earl” by Dixie Chicks is another example. Personally, I think these are just songs and we all need to lighten up. Hip Hop has 1000x more violence, towards all, in lyrics than country & rock does. But, my question remains, is it okay to sing - to glorify - revenge murders against men but absolutely verboten when it comes to the same topic applied to women?
So, I know this is VERY out of your comfort zone(because it’s not country or rock music), but as rock fans can the two of you react to “Stick It To The Man” School of Rock Broadway Live.
The music video is kinda like a horror movie of sorts which is kinda fun. The song itself is a great, fun revenge song. But yeah, if you're looking for something that shows off her talent as a vocalist, this ain't it.
