Norah Qaed How to evaluate an scientific paper is a great topic idea! I can't offer a specific estimate of when I'll get to it, but it's definitely on my list of topics to cover.
+Hashim Almousawi Thanks for the suggestions. I was planning on covering AKI next, but there have been enough requests now for urinalysis, that I'll plan to do that next. I very tentatively plan on covering pacemakers in the spring (when my own med students will be covering cardiology).
Sepehr k I'm not very familiar with the current books available for medicine clerkship. (The books I used as a student are mostly out of print!). The most popular book among the medicine clerkship students here at Stanford is probably Step Up to Medicine, but I can't personally comment on it beyond that. Also, in general, a lot of students find benefit in doing plenty of practice questions, particularly in the second half of clerkship once they already have accumulated some knowledge from other sources.

shif442 Avi, I'm sorry I haven't responded to your email yet. Thanks for the suggestion of Garcia's 12 lead ECG - The Art of Interpretation. To be honest, I remember not being a huge fan of it (though I've encountered many people who swear it's the best on the market), but it's been so long since I physically looked through a copy, I wanted to refresh my memory before getting back to you - just haven't had a chance to get to our med library yet. Regarding abdominal X-rays, it's still on the list of topics to cover. Unfortunately, I have so many other requests, some of which can be incorporated very nicely into our med school's curriculum, that great ideas like this one keep getting pushed back.
gio basta I know people have been waiting for new advanced ECG videos for a while. I'm working on something now, quite a bit different in format than my usual videos, that will be tangentially related to ECGs and I think viewers will find particularly interesting. Aside from that, do you have any preference of a topic for the next typical ECG video? (e.g. VT, SVTs, unusual forms of aberrancy, effect of antiarrhythmics on ECG, the QT interval, various forms of a-flutter, etc...)

Well, not particularly... Because I thought you were to deal with all of them in order...
gio basta Once you get to the more advanced material, the specific order becomes less critical.
American med students only have to spend 8 weeks?
That's not fair. We have to spend 4 months.
