I remember finishing the NA version of Electrosphere and thinking, "They followed the greatness of Ace Combat 2 with THIS?!" Then I would later find out that Japan got the full, comprehensive game while we got the castrated, watered-down, stripped-to-the-bone release. Electrosphere was my last AC game; haven't played one since.
You're missing out if you're holding off from the PS2 games simply because of the failure that was NA AC3. AC04 and beyond, with few exceptions, are generally excellent games.
This and Ridge Racer Type 4's soundtracks were so so influential to me as a young teenager. Still listen to them now. Sounded like the future then and now. Love the whole menu and mission briefing UI style too. So good!

There won't be a sequel to AC3 simply because all of it was simulation program NEMO (one of the endings reveals it). Which bring us to... where the hell is HD remake? petition to remake all classic AC titles skyrocketed but with 0 response from ACES (aside from maybe Ace Combat Cross Rumble but lets be honest it is vastly different from ACE2 SCARFACE) We also have all missions from previous AC titles online but still no remake
exactly its a simulation so any of those events couldve happened in the actual canon and perhaps it didnt turn out exactly as the simulation thought, thats already one idea for a sequel, just show the aftermath of ace combat 3, there is plenty of room for a sequel
Best game of all ace combat. It has some flaws, like extremely short missions and other stuff, but without a doubt the best game. The story is just more than enough to bring it to the top. I wish, someday, to play this game again in a reworked version, with better graphics and all. I call this path Fiona's route. It was the first ending I got and the one I still like the most, simply because I was in love with Fiona back then when I was a kid. Such a sad ending, but I still like it anyway.
The european and american version of Ace Combat 3 Electrosphere is a poop's building!!!! This is the original story. Many fans dislike this great game!!!! I don´t understand. Maybe they must accept it as a gaiden (alternative story).
Probably there won't be a sequel to Electrosphere, since it doesn't has a 'canon' path, just different outcomes. It's even harder to make a sequel to it after you get all endings and unlock the final ending. But I really wish they would make more games like this one, a prequel to it, maybe? Assault Horizon was a real disappointment for me and I hope they won't continue to follow that line.

AC4 / 5 are amazing. Zero and 6 are good. 7 is okay

You should definitely check out the newer games! The PS2 trilogy is awesome and 7 is good too!

It's not a simulation, and there is much more content that can be used in a sequel.

Flying inside an underwater looks like city... fighting a futurist AI controlled airplane... AC3 is really something else

アサルトホライズンは、序盤のヘリで詰まってからプレイしていません。
エレクトロスフィアをリメイクする場合は、プロジェクトNemoとは違うストーリを期待します。ゼネラルやニューコム間の紛争、エアロコフィンでのHUD表示などはそのまま流用。やはりSARFメンバとしてスタートするのかな？
