Amazing interview. I have been active in the market doing lots of several stuffs but this interview has helped me to start to think about index funds and read more. Thanks so much.
Starting to invest at 19, was one of the best decisions I made. This episode hits the nail on the head! Investing psychology is so important, and starting young like you did in my late teens gave me the huge advantage of going through 3 market crashes and seeing how people made poor decisions due to fear and greed. Great work!
I really enjoyed every minute of this. Jacques seems such a humble, kind, grounded individual. It's nice to see someone so real with the ability to explain all of the concepts so clearly.
What a great episode. Very informative. Thank you Both🎉 Investing and stay investing is the Key. Keep educating ourselves and also understanding our emotional behaviour is important!!!
What a wonderful and insightful discussion. I will encourage my 16 year old lad to watch this with a view to helping him come to a decision about his further education and career path. Although, only a few weeks ago he made £54k by trading Meme coins but this was only paper profits as he got too greedy and didn't cash out in time before it dumped - a harsh but good lesson learnt.
Depends. I don’t do either. I only live below my means and invest in stocks and I’m doing well. Stocks has the least entry barrier and least hustle and you see returns immediately.
This is honestly phenomenal and extremely informative, I spent so much time thinking all I have to do is save however my savings accounts were not proportionality growing in line with inflation 😅
You’re welcome. Yup multi asset funds are not commonly spoken of outside the processional world, but you would find that most financial planners tend to recommend these type of assets to their clients. Often you will find the asset uses the terms “cautious, balanced or adventurous” to help the investor capture the investment for their right risk level
Fantastic interview. This brother is clearly very knowledgeable about his field and has an amazing ability to explain it in terms that are simple to understand and digest. Thanks again @savvywallet
