I have always love the design of Spider-Man 2099 since 1997 and i was happy to see it in the Ps3-360 video games and finally in the Spider-Verse movie even in my username i use the 2099 since 2010 I didn't hesitate to pre order this figure the moment i saw it.
Wife, who has been in the Army for 23 years said, 'If you buy that figure at that price no manner of training will save you. PS Spider-Man 2099 is my fav Spider-Man. If you take out the upper torso ball peg and flip it around you will get a deeper abb crunch and I heated my blades and pulled the out….and I can put them back in and they stay!!
To me, that costume design has turned me off since I was a kid when those 2099 books were being released. I didn't like any of them, except for Ghostrider 2099. I can absolutely understand & acknowledge that those SHFA figures are incredible & absolutely top tier. But...that costume is...so...NOT awesome. To me. But I get it. Everybody has their thing - I'm a big KISS fan...& there's oodles of folks who think that is about as NOT awesome as you can be. Everybody likes what they like... I just made me chuckle as I was watching this episode. Either way, it looks like it's an awesome figure. The articulation looks extensive but doesn't appear to be, "too" articulated - sometimes over-arctulation can absolutely be a hindrance for quality posing. Good score. The fun, yet..."emotional" payoff at the end there was cute. -Dustin
Figuarts absolutely can do fantastic cloth wired capes. Their kamen rider shinkocchou seihou (renewal) line has cloth wired goods (if the character design calls for it). Those releases are usually around the same price as this guy so it's definitely possible. The issue is kamen rider fanbase is much smaller so they have to do it right to get the most people on board. Everybody and their mother loves spider man, so they can cut corners and still have people coming back. I still really like this figure though. I might have to shell out. At least I know it will be a very good figure.
I think if this were to release like a few months from now instead of right now, it might've had soft goods since S.H figuarts has really been dipping their toes in that department lately
I've only seen two Marvel 2099 characters become toys one of course is Spider-Man and the other is Hulk 2099. I hope some time in the future that they make Punisher 2099 with his bike that would be so cool just to have👍
Spider-Man 2099 is my favorite of the Spider-Men... Yes, that includes Peter Parker. Miguel O'Hara is my favorites because of how cool he is. And best of all, he's a variant, yes but not a sidekick, not a race swap, not an affirmative action hero, he's different enough to stand on his own and at the same time hits all of the familiar 'spider beats'. And this figure is D. O. P. E. Also, I like the alternate web air foil over the red cape, since in the comic it wasn't red and was smaller.
It is really a great looking design and details. But when I saw the $130 price for retail not even scalping 2nd party sellers but just preorders still and I saw the few accessories they compared to they do other figures at 40 to 50 if not more cheaper depending on franchise sh is using. I def held of on it but of course hearing your sexy ass voice and how you describe the figure along with the pics you throw out. Man it make makes me want to go out and get it now. (Wait I am married to my wife and straight and all still rt. Wtf sexy ass voice. What with me, Hmmmm may need to check myself. Damn agendas Disney and them pushing may be working to good…)……..oh. Back on the figure. Hearing and seeing you describe this figure they givedef almost made me shoot on buying this but I got to respect my boundaries and bank finances. Think spending 130 and more after tax and shipping is little to much for me with as little give us with this. The marvel legends version is back in stock at most places. I finally got it coming. It was my fault when I saw a bunch at target and not grabbing one.

@@ArticulatedNinja so it isn't too large of a mech. It's about 10 feet tall scale wise. I have some photos with other 1/12 scale figures. All panels open and pilot can stand on his own. Armored mech suit can stand without pilot. The final version will be in white (like the S.N.A.K.E. armor. Are you interested in a free copy?
No I had both exclusive and regular they both came with flight stands just different designs on the flight stand. Go watch anyone's review of the regular version non event exclusive you ll see miles and Gwen still come with flight stands so as I stated why didn't he ?

It was mentioned that they were not coming with flight stands they did not particularly say that they were coming with different flight stands but those who were the exclusive figures again I'm not going to look at reviews for the regular figures if I had the exclusives and a major difference was that as I stated. In some of the reviews, it was said that they did not come with them. Also one key note I never opened mine because I sold them I bought them to sell them to people who were not able to get them which is the only reason I even looked at the exclusive reviews. I know sentinel makes them which is a much better version of the figures which is why I did not want the Sh. Figuarts versions. And the only reason I may pass on this one. To be honest I might pick him up I don't like the sentinel version in comparison then I'll keep him.. but so far all the sentinel versions have been the superior versions so hopefully that will be the case when they release this one.

Hi, does anyone know how to fix a loose waist joint? I was testing the forward bend articulation at the waist then it popped out.. after putting it back on, it got way too loose that even the supposedly “normal” degree of forward bend automatically causes the waist to pop out of the socket. This kinda limits the poses I could do on the figure since the waist would quickly pop out if the pose gets too dynamic. Please do help if you guys know how to fix this, thank you so much!
Great review ! Was astounded when I received it too. The easy mod gives it sooo much range, the only thing keeping it from being FOTY for me really, though I think it might be a factory line error. Also, the lack of accessories is a bit of a letdown but being an exclusive and the only excellent SM2099 on the market helps with the price. As you said, a must-have for every SM collection.
Sweet video, the figure feels like a rushed released. But the most important thing is that you enjoyed having him. .👍💯 And I had no choice sadly but to get two of those Cobra Trouble-Bubbles and a Fire-Fly from Haslow, but hurry and check your TARGET store for the Python version of them on the shelf now!

I love mine but i hate the plastic they used for the arm blades. They used a clear plastic so be careful with them
