Ur explanation is so good. Am a kalari master. So many steps is similarities in bharatnadya. If u come to thrissur kerala pls visit my traditional kalari.
Thank you so much. Yes, Indigeneous Art Forms have many similarities in movements. Glad you can resonate with it ! And thank you for invite, would love to :)
Hi Ma'am! I'm a boy and I wish to learn Bharatnatyam from your videos; I have a doubt regarding this and it would be very helpful for me if you answer my doubt. My question is: Are the stances, postures and hand gestures same for both girls and boys in Bharatnatyam? Is there anything like "male version" or "female version" of a particular Bharatnatyam dance?
Hi. The basic positions are similar to both male and female learners. But there are also some essentially different ,feet positions that are unique for both male and female. For example, when we represent characters, the masculinity/feminity makes a difference in the posture and behaviour of the representation. The basic movements are not different for male and female, only specific feet positions are different. There is no genderized format for male and female and the main concern is always about Angashuddham (Appropriate Physical Techniques).
@@samridhidancefoundation Thank you so much. So I will start learning the basics from your youtube videos. It would be very kind of you if you could show the masculine variations of different feet positions wherever applicable. Thank you again... 😊😊
