Happy Holidays Vv! Appreciate ya for all the content you've provided us this year! I was wondering after your guides of the meta decks, if you were planning/could do a "One Piece TCG year in review". Like going over all the sets that were released, the bans, pretty much everything the TCG did this calendar year. I'd love to hear your detailed thoughts of each set, which ones were your favorite, cards that stood out, etc. Furthermore, I'd love to hear what you think maybe Bandai missed the mark one and what you'd love to see/looking forward to for One Piece in 2025 (*cough cough* PLEASE BANDAI REPRINT EB-01). Or maybe even like a Vv award show format where you go over the deck of the year, card of the year, most slept on card/deck, etc. Honestly felt like 2024 was huge not only for the TCG but for your channel as well and so much happened that a Vv recap would be perfect for an end of the year video. Again, Happy Holidays Vv! Much love and looking forward to you being back next year with (head nods forward) more videos.
Great video, VV! I have been playing this leader in the current meta and regarding the leader ability, one play pattern that is quite common is opponents attacking face first to bait your ability, so they can take the board easier, so what I do in a lot of situations is to keep the leader ability to defend my board or use it in their last attack. Another neat trick you can do is to reduce a non-attacking character from 5k to 4k and KO it with Red Roc. To play around the Red Roc KO effect, more experienced players will attach Don preemptively, but that also telegraphs their attacks for the turn so you can optimize your counters. Shanks seems quite straightforward, but there is a lot of nuance if you want to master how to play with and against this leader.
Love the video big man! And happy Holidays! I recently won a locals with Shanks, this leader is freaking fire. He really loses hard to RP luffy, Blue doffy (if you don't get the right cards) and Pluffy is my personal hardest matchup. I played against BY luffy, RP Luffy (worst matchup), Doffy and Blackbeard. Won all 4, and each game the tech card that helped me out a lot. 1. Rayleigh is a must - you really can't play the deck without it 2. 10C op06 shanks that breaks anything under 10k - that card won me the RP Luffy match (broke his Kidd that when attacking give 1k to leader- broke his entire tempo) 3. Dragon is freaking king 4. Gold D. Roger for those unblockable attacks I personally removed yasopp and roux from the deck. Reason being is - ace and marco (at least for my locals) is a more superior 5 drop. Roux just gets bounced back from doffy don 4 and 4 cost blackbeard event just nullifies and kills it. I am specifically running the Aichi Wave 2 Tournament build, and instead of radical beams, I am running Bad Manners because I run so many bricks, I need that extra counter. I may consider dropping 1 of my 2 rogers and 1 red hawk, and adding 2 Roux's - just in case as a tech card. But overall, solid deck profile and amazing gameplay sir!
All of the videos ive seen you make are so well made at explaining to new players and players trying to take the game to the next level. Started my locals journey going 1-3 now im consistently 3-1. Happy Holidays man.
Great vid VV, loving the content and as a Shanks main (got it full bling) it was a treat to see you cover the leader :D. On my list I rathered shy away from the ace (i know why it is there but it just doesn't appeal to me), put 2 Uta instead (but can be replaced), went with 2 less yassop (card is very good, however i usually only play 1 because on the following curve I already have better plays), traded that rad bean for 0c (better for endgame where 10c will be chain dropping) and added some building snakes (very nice for power drop for rayleigh and beckman plays and I won't burn a 2k for that). But I found that shanks is a very versatile deck with plenty functional builds that come down to preference :)
Even in holidays the grind doesn’t stop 👌 thanks for your efforts ❤ for me rayleigh price is huge down side for building this deck so for me I would run more rush version and put 3 cost zoro and usi the ko effect in 10 cost film shanks
Happy Holidays Vv! I'd love to see your take on a modern OP03 Lucci Leader Deck. I and some other people have been struggling to point a somewhat proper list that could maybe compete. We would all love to see what your idea for the Deck would be. The Decklist below is what we are currently working on. Much love and looking forward to you being back next year with (head nods forward) more videos.
The 0c 3k is really good in shanks because of how many bricks are in the deck plus you dont have to leave don open so you can play your 10 drop, but I think it comes down to player preference
Happy Holidays! Great educational footage again, thanks Vv. I‘m not that big of a fan of some cards like marco because of a lack of power reduction and ace because of the lack of rush, but maybe thats cause a come from playing marco and losing these things just feel bad. What do you think of the GumGum MoleGun from the new starter? Giving some need power reduction to the marco or potential a 7-beard? Looking forward to the Doffi video, always up for some education
Hi Vv, would like to ask when I play a card with on play effect, can I trigger the effect later? For e.g. I already play a character card with on play effect, but instead of direct trigger the on play effect, I trigger another character or leader Activate:Main effect first then I only trigger back the on play effect for the card I play just now.
The On Play Effect has to happen as soon as the Character Enters Play. In some rare cases there might be a Table waiting to resolve first before the On Play Effects (like with the U Doffy Leader Effect VS Shanks Leader Effect). But other than that, generally speaking you must use the On Play Effect as soon as it enters Play. If multiples enter at the same time like with Gecko Moria, you get to choose the order in which they resolve, but they do have to happen before moving on to other Actions like Activate: Main Effects etc. Hopefully that helped!
7c Whitebeard would have probably been a good replacement for Rayleigh for those who didn't have it. But otherwise, not too sure, maybe mess around with the 5c slots. The Stage I'm not as big a fan of. Thank you so much 🙏
@@Vvulfrik thanks for the insights! I played test the stage at locals and it felt pretty good since it caught most people off guard. i got it as starting hands so i was able to play it on 2nd dons turn and have it continue generating values for future turns. I see it like Enies Lobby for red. and the stage combos pretty well with 7c whitebeard helping me koing 7k bodies or just get 6k blocker down to 5k demanding more counters from opponents.
I think reds biggest weakness is draw, you barely get access to 1/4 of your deck if that over the course of a game and it's really not enough. I feel like searchers and draw Rayleigh is maditory or you just lose to decks that draw more

Merry Christmas, thank you so much!
Have you tried the list that recently topped a treasure cup? I've been enjoying that list a lot. Thanks again for all the banger content!
I don't think so
Limejuice is actually ridiculous to go for lethal the turn after 10c Shanks drop. They need a 6k+ blocker to stop you w/Shanks effect.

Agreed, I have come to rather It to radical Bean for endgame given I Will not have the 1 don up most of the time.
What card is the 0c 3k? Sorry I'm new
It's called "Bad manners" @@Kidarachnid13
@Kidarachnid13 bad manners kick course, you discard something and It gives 3k extra counter to something
@@olivernalen thank you!
I'll only play Shanks on the Sim only. 7 Drop Edward Newgate from ST-15 is a good replacement for Silvers Rayleigh
Happy Holidays!

Mole Gun could be pretty interesting, I'm always keeping my eye on Power Reduction
I actually really like using 7c Whitebeard. Just cast and pop once a turn.
Thanks for the videos? Any interest in nico Robin from op09 in the future?
Definitely
at 17:01 why didnt you dragon swing for 12k???
12K into 5K that is 4 2k cards out of his hands could also mean you just win??
Having the rush shanks minus 1k is part of the fun of the deck
Thoughts on uta searcher?
For certain decks the Searcher is fine, all depends on how you want to build it
If you're going to drop Rayleigh because it's too pricy I'd play 7c Newgate from ST15. Not as good, but a solid replacement for cheap

Idk good yellow Enel will be considering with BB he is just a 4 life mono color leader
what's ur thoughts on running the 2c stage or the 7c white beard for a more control style. if so, what would u take out for those cards? love ur vids!

I don’t think I’ve seen you play a competent doffy on the sim yet
I do Not, like seeing Rayleigh pop off in price 😂
