I’ve not played that format, sorry 😢 if those 2 are the decks you’re expecting I’d try and find room for 5c ace though, if you expect less teach maybe you could cut 1 of the dragons and 2 of the 2c sanji? The list should have a decent time into Doffy with the newgates and Rayleigh, and ace will help a lot into Lucci (if you find it ofc)
Check out ikailakai and crossai, they’ve uploaded some 09 Doffy guides 👍 I don’t play a lot of Doffy so wouldn’t have the knowledge needed to put out a guide on him ❤️
I’ll be honest and say I’ve not played either of those matchups more than 1-2 times this format so don’t have any specific tips. Need to win fast though - once shanks gets a 10c on board it’s gonna be rough, especially for zoro. Roux is also public enemy number one for those decks, but not much you can do about him. Think betty is better into shanks than zoro atm, your swings are so much bigger 👍
If you meant playing as shanks: IMO Starve them early game, just play board 100%, once you get to 8-10 don you’ll be able to relieve a bit of the pressure. Roux is probably the mulligan target, taking out a 3c book chopper 4c ivankov or 4c karasu in each matchup respectively with roux is crazy good. Betty is definitely scarier imo, but neither matchup is awful. Red hawk would actually be pretty decent if you’re playing it esp vs zoro
I'm curious behind the decision of only 3x 8c Rayleigh and 3x 10c shanks. I can understand the latter with 6x searchers meaning you can find it easier, even if I still don't quite like going down on it. But I'm still wondering the decision behind less Rayleigh.
Can absolutely go to 4 Rayleigh if you like, believe mangleys reasoning was that he wanted an extra dragon for matchups like teach, enel etc and preferred cutting the 4th Rayleigh over something like the 4th Newgate since the Newgate is almost as important in the Doffy matchup to see on curve and also provides value into teach where the Rayleigh is pretty useless 4 Rayleigh is really nice tho, the cards crazy strong! Personal preference I think 👍
Nope, there’s a really good Shanks player in my locals who plays one Rayleigh because he said he prefers Dragon’s rush over Rayleigh. He does have a lot of one-ofs of weird cards though (like the OP01 SR Luffy).
It’s very good! But if you absolutely can’t afford them, from the TC winning list add a 4th dragon 4th rush 10c and one slot for whatever you like I guess 😂

Yep if he plays black hole event to KO roux you won’t get any effect with him 👍
Black and blue bounced 3 and 4 cost characters. Almost guaranteed to lose those plays during 1st and 3rd curve
Yep 👍 that’s why I said you need to be careful playing roux against Doffy and you wouldn’t play hongo into black

@angrypandable i do a hybrid. I run 3x zoro 4x lucky for early game but otherwise i run control with rush at the end with dragon's an shanks

Yellow has a 6 cost event that can trash 10 cost shanks.
